Da Brat was sentenced to three years in prison today for striking a woman with a rum bottle at an Atlanta-area nightclub last year according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution. The Judge also gave her 7 years probation and 200 hours of community service.
Da Brat plead guilty for striking the woman who was hospitalized and suffered permanent facial scarring.
About six members of Harris’s family wept when a sheriff’s deputy took her into custody.
“I love y’all,” Harris, 34, said as she was led out of the courtroom.
“We love you too” the relatives replied in unison.
What she was did was awful, but does the time fit the crime? When others who committed worse crimes do less?
BTW I wonder if VH1 is considering doing a reality show following her time behind bars?
David Cook is proving that he so deserved to win American Idol, because he truly is an Idol!!! According to Star Magazine his biggest fan 7 year old Lindsey Rose was diagnosed with leukemia last Christmas, and she started a friendship with him when he was vying for the title. In fact the orange bracelet he was wearing was for her. After the finale he contacted her and said when he was Tampa he would visit her.

Katie Holmes' Broadway show hasn't even opened, but The Scoop is already reporting that show is expected to close early because of poor ticket sales.
Ticket sales for the show, which stars Katie Holmes and Patrick Wilson, are thus far “definitely off from what the production hoped,” according to a source close to “Sons.” It’s hard to know what exactly is to blame.
“You can’t say it’s the economy,” says the source, “because there are shows, like ‘Mamma Mia’ that are selling out.” One possibility bandied about is that audiences are too nostalgic for Holmes’ “Dawson’s Creek” persona to clamor for tickets. “It’s not that Katie’s bad in the part. She’s good enough. The producers are just getting the feeling people still want to view Katie as sweet little Joey Potter.”
The publicist for All My Sons denies the claims, but then again he has to say that. Katie Holmes kissed her acting career goodbye when she kissed Tom Cruise.
