The Rolling Stones legend was scheduled to appear in the imminent second instalment of the movie series, as the father of Johnny Depp‘s character Captain Jack Sparrow. However, filming for Dead Man’s Chest went ahead without him as the Stones took their Bigger Bang tour around the world.

At a press gathering for the new movie this weekend in Beverly Hills, it was confirmed by producer Jerry Bruckheimer and writer Ted Elliot that Richards will star in the third movie, At World’s End.

Bruckheimer, joking about the recent fall from a coconut tree in Fiji was saw Keith undergo brain surgery, said: "I think we worked out some dates, as long as he doesn’t fall out of any more trees."

Meanwhile, Elliot commented: "Keith Richards was never intended to be in Pirates II. He is supposed to be in III. Johnny wanted him in but there was just no room in the story in II. But there is in III. According to the press, he’s in he’s out he’s in he’s out, I honestly think people made that up

CAMERON Diaz is not over Justin Timberlake just yet, and things got heated when she saw her ex chatting up Jessica Biel in L.A. after the Golden Globes. Sources say the temperamental star "blew up" at Biel after she saw Timberlake flirting with her. Diaz followed Timberlake to the In Style party at the Hilton Oasis, where "they had an awkward conversation." The "Charlie’s Angels" star then trailed Timberlake to the Beverly Hilton rooftop for the Universal party, where she found him chatting up Biel – and screamed at the "Illusionist" star. "If that’s how she wants to get him back, it won’t work," said our insider. "She’s desperate." Reps for Diaz did not return our call.

A district judge has told rock star Peter Doherty she is "optimistic" about his progress in beating his addiction to drugs. The 27-year-old Babyshambles front man attended a review of a drug treatment order before District Judge Jane McIvor at Thames Magistrates' Court in east London. The judge told the singer that she was even more optimistic than she had been at his previous review in October and, as a result, his case need not be reviewed as frequently. "I would like to think it's more optimistic than the last review in October," the district judge said. She told Doherty, who appeared at his latest court appearance wearing a dark suit and carrying his trademark trilby hat, that his doctor had referred to the "great effort" he was making to beat his addiction. "But it's a long process and there is another nine months to go," she said. "This is more optimistic but we cannot take the pressure off. It takes day-to-day effort." The judge ordered Doherty to return to court for another review on April 18. As he left the court following the five-minute hearing, the star said it had not been easy trying to give up drugs. "It's like she said, really it's just time. For the first time I am actually turning up for appointments in a coherent state. It's just a really positive time for me at the moment," he said. Doherty refused to comment on reports that he and supermodel girlfriend Kate Moss are set to get married.

BRITNEY Spears is to move back in with her mum Lynne after a string of mishaps with baby son Sean Preston.

The singer, 24, has decided to return to Kentwood, Louisiana, as she prepares to give birth to her second child.

She is pouring money into her mother’s home to make room for her growing family and plans to take hubby Kevin Federline with her.

The star has consulted doctors at a nearby hospital over her new baby, due in September.

She is also looking for a second house so she and hubby Kevin, 28, can have some privacy.

Michael Jackson is reportedly desperate for Victoria and David Beckham to buy his Neverland ranch. The singer, who left the property 18 months ago after being cleared of child abuse charges, wants the Beckhams to buy the 2,800-acre property for £10 million. Michael has asked estate agents to show the property details to Victoria, who has been house hunting ahead of David’s summer move to the Los Angeles Galaxy soccer team. However, Victoria is said to have no interest in Neverland, because it is in Los Olivos, California, 150 miles away from David’s new training ground. Victoria, 32, is expected to look at around 35 properties in total, all valued between £5 million and £10 million. She reportedly has her eye on a £7.5 million mansion previously owned by Lionel Richie and is determined to find the perfect home for her family. Victoria said: "I want to make sure I pick the right one for David and the kids. I’ve seen some beautiful places, but we want somewhere that looks like a nice home." The former Spice Girl is planning to spend £50,000 on themed bedrooms for the couple’s three sons Brooklyn, seven, Romeo, four, and 23-month-old Cruz. Victoria has asked children’s boutique Petit Tresor to design murals, beds and furniture with a soccer theme. Petit Tresor’s co-owner, Samantha Winch, said: "The idea is to make you feel like you’re in a soccer stadium like Dad. Endorsement deals and screaming fans are sold separately!"

Actually if Michael Jackson were smart he would try to get Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie to buy the place. They want a lot of kids and it far enough from LA they can have some privacy, but what do I know I am not into real estate.
