MSNBC asks, do you have what it takes to become a citizen?
February 19th, 2007 under TV News. [ Comments: none ]

if (window.July4CivicsQuiz) { displayQuiz(July4CivicsQuiz); }When immigrants want to become Americans, they must take a civics test as part of their naturalization interview before a Citizenship and Immigration Services officer. The questions are usually selected from a list of 100 sample questions (see at http://www.uscis.gov/graphics/services/natz/English.pdf ) that prospective citizens can look at ahead of the interview (though the examiner is not limited to those questions). Some are easy, some are not. We have picked some of the more difficult ones.

Should you be welcomed immediately to the Land of the Free or sent home for some more homework? Find out!
(PLEASE NOTE: These questions are as asked on the official United States Immigration and Naturalization Services Web site. Candidates are not given multiple choices in the naturalization interview, which is conducted orally.)

Go to MSNBC and take the test!

Thanks Jessica

Seriously? OMG! It is harder than I thought and I did better than I thought. I got a 90! Woo Hoo!

No nude scenes for Kevin Smith!
February 19th, 2007 under Kevin Smith. [ Comments: 1 ]

Moviemaker Kevin Smith fought to keep his T-shirt on for a massage scene in new film Catch & Release because he doesn’t let anyone catch a glimpse of his man-boobs. The chubby director was asked to act in the new film, which stars pal Ben Affleck’s wife Jennifer Garner, and fell out with director Susanne Grant over her plans to get him naked. Smith says, "Before we started filming, Susanne said, ‘You’re gonna take your shirt off right?’ I said, ‘You’re out of your f**kin’ mind. I don’t take my shirt off for my wife, why would I take it off for you?’ I said, ‘If that’s what you want, why don’t you get someone with smaller man-boobs?’ It seemed to be a point of contention with her. It was weird heading into that scene, knowing that Susanne was sitting on the sidelines; the only woman on the planet who was wishing I’d take my shirt off." Smith admits the massage scene itself was a terrible experience: "I’m getting massaged by Juliette Lewis and she can’t give a massage worth a shit. It was kind of weird because the whole time she was on my back I’m thinking, ‘This is the chick from f**kin’ Cape Fear.’"

Gotta love him for his honesty and not exposing us to his man boobs!

Jeremy Piven hooking up with ANTM’s MelRose?
February 19th, 2007 under Jeremy Piven, Tyra Banks. [ Comments: none ]

Jeremy Piven Has a New Girl: Or at least, that's certainly the way it looked, as Mr. Ari Gold spent the whole night (beginning with the HBO party and ending at InStyle's bash) canoodling and kissing a certain TV personality you CW fans know very well (and quite frankly, love to hate). The Piv's new mystery woman is none other than (drumroll, please): Melrose Bickerstaff, the runner-up from the most recent season of America's Next Top Model! Can you stand it? The two were extremely close all night, holding hands, flirting, smooching and displaying all sorts of couple-like behavior. Jeremy's official date was his mother, but she spent most of the night hanging out with Perrey Reeves (who plays Jeremy's wife on Entourage), while Piven and Hellrose partied it up. (All I can say is that Jeremy must not have watched the latest cycle of Top Model, or he'd know what kind of melodramatic kookiness he's in for! I know, I know. It was "all in the editing.")

Watch with Kristin

Actaully she is the perfect b!tch to his b!tchiness, so they make a great couple.

E! made the right choice by dumping Joan and Melissa Rivers!!!
February 19th, 2007 under Awards. [ Comments: 1 ]

E!’s Ryan Seacrest and Giuliana Depandi trounced the TV Guide Channel’s mother/daughter team of Joan and Melissa Rivers again this year, as the Golden Globes red-carpet rivalry unfolded. E!’s Live From the Red Carpet, which ran 6-8 p.m. ET, earned a 2.07 household rating, slightly ahead of last year’s rating, according to early numbers. It built steadily on the quarter-hours and peaked at a 2.98 rating, 10% higher than last year’s peak. TV Guide Channel’s red-carpet coverage, featuring the famously catty Rivers duo, also running 6-8 p.m., earned a 0.7 household rating, a 17% increase over last year’s numbers.

Broadcasting and Cable

I have been over her obnoxious comments for years. I never understand why stars are still talking to her on the red carpet, do you?
