David Gest demanded Zebra milk |

STAFF at a top hotel branded David Gest their worst client ever — after he asked room service for a pint of ZEBRA milk. Gest, 53, was staying at the five star Lanesborough in London with then wife Liza Minnelli. Staff at the hotel, used to looking after royalty and celebrities, expected showbiz legend Liza, 60, to be a diva. But according to a worker at The Lanesborough — where suites can cost £10,000 a night and each guest has a butler — it was I’m A Celebrity star Gest who was the prima donna. He said: “He was an absolute pain. Anyone would think he was world famous, not his wife. He made a string of bizarre requests. It culminated in him ringing the butler bell and demanding room service bring him a pint of fresh, chilled zebra milk. “When he was told we only had cow, goat, sheep and soya he threw a screaming fit. He said we should ring London Zoo to see if they had any.” Head butler at the hotel, Sean Davoren, eventually found a shop which had frozen zebra milk. He said in an interview: “I’m not usually fazed by anything but I thought somebody was taking the mickey here. “Luckily, I remembered a fellow who’d helped me before. Sure enough there was a shop at the top of Regents Park where you could buy the stuff. “It was £15 a pint and the guest had a pint every day.”

DWTS back in March? |

On the heels of a hugely successful finale for the current season of "Dancing with the Stars," ABC is considering bringing the show back for another run in the spring. The fourth edition of the show will likely premiere in March, ABC’s Jeff Bader told attendees at an International Radio & Television Society event in New York Wednesday. When "Dancing" does come back, though, it may be in a different time period than the 8 p.m. Tuesday-Wednesday spots it occupied with great success this fall. That’s because the Tuesday spot would end up competing against FOX’s unscripted heavyweight, "American Idol," which Bader calls a "tsunami." Because of that, he says ABC will likely move "Dancing" to other nights of the week, according to news accounts of the event.

Should be interesting to see what they are going to do? Personally after this season’s yawn, I can wait for DWTS4.

6 more for Standoff and ‘Til Death!!! |

Fox is sticking by "’Til Death" and "Standoff," ordering additional episodes of both frosh skeins. Net has given the go-ahead to nine more episodes of Brad Garrett laffer "Death" and six more segs of procedural drama "Standoff." Skeins are the first — and likely only — Fox frosh to be extended beyond their initial 13 seg commitments. "Death," from Sony Pictures Television, has struggled against tough competish Thursdays at 8 p.m. Fox execs believe the show might yet attract an audience and are hoping the return of "American Idol" and "24" will give it a boost. "Standoff," from 20th Century Fox TV, has also posted underwhelming Nielsen numbers. Still, skein has shown more of a pulse than Fox’s other frosh dramas, "Vanished" and "Justice." Fox opted to order six episodes of "Standoff" rather than the usual nine because, with "Idol" and "24," net believes it won’t have a need for more segs, a spokesman said.

You know I love Ron Livingston and Standoff, but don’t tell anyone I also really like ‘Til Death. If you have not seen ‘Til Death check it out tonight on Fox!

Monday’s How I Met Your Mother is going to Sparkles!!! |

You meet someone, you date a while, things get serious, and then suddenly you realize there are secrets to this person who shares your bed, secrets that you’re desperate to discover. It’s a simple enough problem, but the Nov. 20 episode of the CBS sitcom How I Met Your Mother has given it a wickedly funny twist for the YouTube age.But let’s pretend for a quick second that you’re not completely familiar with How I Met… (and given the show’s average of 9.6 million viewers per week, that may be quite likely). The title kinda explains it all: We watch the journey of aspiring architect Ted Mosby (Josh Radnor) as he navigates the dating scene in search of his wife  whom we know he will at some point discover since the show is told in flashback from the future (ergo, the title). Ted’s been dating his current squeeze, aspiring TV journalist Robin Scherbatsky (Cobie Smulders), on and off since the series’ premiere in 2005, but it’s not until she bizarrely refuses to go to the mall that he and his buddies Marshall (Jason Segel) and Barney (Neil Patrick Harris) grasp that Robin is holding fast to some deep secret from her past, a secret she won’t even share with Ted, a secret that Barney discovers on that pesky Internet.’’We knew [Robin] was from Canada,’’ explains Mother co-creator and co-showrunner Craig Thomas, ‘’and we also [thought] that in 2006, there’s an embarrassing piece of footage for everybody. We stumbled upon the idea that what if [Robin] was Alanis Morissette if Alanis Morissette’s career had ended [during her] Canadian teen pop phase?’’ It’s indeed a secret so diabolically perfect, it took just a few hours (and a few beers) for Thomas and the other co-creator and showrunner Carter Bays to crank out ‘’Let’s Go to the Mall,’’ the single that transformed Robin at 16 into Canadian pop teen star Robin Sparkles. After getting a behind-the-scenes look last month at the shooting of the incriminating music video, we can report that both the song and the video are so dead-on ’80s bubblegum pre-fab pop, it’s  well, it’s a little scary. In fact, before we give you an exclusive first look at that video, a word of warning: ‘’The song has turned out to be much catchier than we were prepared for,’’ says Thomas, ‘’but in this very specific way where people are angry at us for writing it.’’ And if you’re already realizing something not quite adding up math-wise, don’t worry, Robin was supposed to have shot the video back in 1993, since, as Thomas points out, ‘’the ’80s actually didn’t make it up to Canada until 1993.’’
