Tommy Lee Tests Contestants Partying Skills…. Rocker Tommy Lee wanted to test the partying endurance of the contestants on his reality competition Rock Star: Supernova so he flew them to Las Vegas, Nevada for a wild weekend. The Motley Crue rocker claims that anyone who joins his new band has to know how to party and he wanted to see his future bandmates’ abilities first-hand. The reality series follows the search for a vocalist to join the new band Supernova formed by Lee along with former Metallica bassist Jason Newsted and one-time Guns N’ Roses guitarist Gilbey Clarke. Lee says about the trip, "Good times. It was insane. We don’t hang a whole lot, but we have had some good times at the (Playboy) Mansion and in Vegas. "If you’re going to spend a tour with these people and do a record with whoever we choose, you kind of want to see how they operate. You find out real quick who’s amateur hour and who’s professional. "One of our contestants, Dilana, was carried out like a potato sack and put in a wheelchair and taken to her room (after drinking too much).
"Grey’s Anatomy" starts filming a seg titled "Oh, the Guilt" this week, which is breast cancer-related. It’s a result of Ford’s campaigning to fight breast cancer, a renewed commitment to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation and the "Warriors in Pink" ad campaign, which started with the cast of "Grey’s" in pink uniforms to call attention to a collection of items on sale to benefit the Foundation. When ABC informed "Grey’s Anatomy" creator-exec produce Shonda Rhimes of the cancer campaign, she said, "I immediately went to our writers and told them to write a story." It’s not the first time the series has taken on important themes to "educate as well as entertain the audience. It’s our way to raise awareness and to fight breast cancer," she told me. One of the focus points is that cancer can strike anyone, including the very young. The patient in the "Grey’s" seg will be in her late 20s and a new mother. The infant and the husband will have major roles in the story. And Rhimes tells me at least one member of the cast will be wearing a pink uniform to tie in with Ford’s "Warriors in Pink" campaign. Elizabeth Klaviter, director of medical research on "Grey’s," told me she had all 13 writers on the show meet with the Director of Women’s Cancer Program at UCLA and attended a cancer survivor group before writing the seg. Dr. Zoanne Clark, who is on the writing staff of the series, also works an ER on weekends "We all realize that the statistics (of breast cancer) are staggering," Kaviter told me, "Who among us has not been touched?" "Grey’s Anatomy" is a nominee for an award by the Hollywood Health in Society. Well deserved.
CHEAPSKATE Pete Doherty is being kicked out of the flat he has trashed owing more than £10,000 in rent, we can reveal. The walls of the £350,000 pad are covered in blood and graffiti and used syringes and broken glass carpet the floor.Friends believe skinflint Pete may end up moving in with supermodel girlfriend Kate Moss – especially as we can’t imagine anyone in their right mind wanting to put him up. The Babyshambles singer hasn’t paid a penny for his lodgings since January. A court has ordered to leave by next Tuesday. His landlord has branded the junkie 27-year-old, who is in rehab, the "worst tenant in his company’s entire history".Property tycoon Andreas Panayiotou blasted: "As well as not paying his rent, there’s both graffiti and blood on the wall, and goodness knows what else. We have never known anyone like him."Doherty moved into the flat in Hackney, East London, last Christmas. And he quickly made a nuisance of himself to his neighbours by hosting noisy impromptu gigs in the middle of the night. One resident in his apartment block fumed to us: "The front door was nearly always boarded-up and covered in graffiti. Then there were the groupies hanging around on the doorstep and his junkie pals banging on his door at all hours and the endless, headbanging racket. We are glad he’s going." Doherty’s flat was the setting for notorious snaps earlier this year where he appeared to be injecting an apparently unconscious female fan with drugs. He later said he was taking blood from Laura McEvoy, 21 for his "artwork" which he exhibited.Another neighbour added: "That was really the last straw when we found out this happened literally next door. From that point on, we were just desperate for him to leave."A letting agent wailed to 3am: "We dread to think how much it will cost for us to clear all this up. But you can rest assured we will be sure to pass the full cost on to Pete.He is currently in the Priory in Southgate, North London being treated for heroin and crack addiction. He is under a 10pm to 8am curfew until Monday – the day before his evicition – when he is due in court for sentencing on five counts of possessing drugs. Judge Alison Rose warned him he could face a jail sentence. One answer to Pete’s housing problem.
