Does Heather Mills need 13 helpers for £20,000 a week? |

Sir Paul McCartney and his estranged wife Heather are headed for another battle over her bloated entourage. The former Beatle has reportedly been astonished to learn whilst trying to hammer out the details of their divorce that Heather’s team of 13 helpers cost £20,000 a week. Mills’ entourage is so big even her personal assistant has an assistant! A source tells The People, "Paul is up in arms. He sees this as yet another attempt to extract money from him." However, a friend of the former model tells it differently, saying, “She thinks she is behaving perfectly reasonably. "Heather needs help juggling her busy schedule with her role as a mum. She also fears for the safety of her daughter and herself as a result of her status as Sir Paul’s former wife. She has been assaulted twice since they split and can no longer go out alone because she fears people who have taken sides will attack her.”

As much as I hate her, I would work for her for that amount of money! And you know Paul is going to put a stop that real soon!

Katie Holmes getting cold feet? |
| September 17th, 2006 under Tom Cruise/Katie Holmes/Suri. [ Comments: none ]

NERVOUS Katie Holmes is getting the jitters over her forthcoming marriage to Tom Cruise. The actress has confided to friends that she is worried about "commitment". Katie has also revealed she is concerned how her life as Cruise’s partner and mother of his child has stalled her film career. One problem she faces is that Cruise has all her scripts vetted by advisers from the bizarre Church of Scientology, to which he belongs. Katie, 27, spoke to one visitor at the isolated Colorado retreat where she has stayed since the birth of four-month-old baby Suri. She told him she was no longer sure about committing to Cruise, adding: "I don’t have my own life any more. I’m not comfortable." But Cruise, 44, has told friends to be "prepared and ready" for a wedding soon. Insiders say plans for the nuptials – either at one of their homes or the Scientology Celebrity Centre in Los Angeles – have been arranged and cancelled twice, with two different wedding planners. A pal said: "The wedding dress is bought, Tom’s two adopted kids from his marriage to Nicole Kidman will be there, but just where and when is up in the air. Katie is nervous about making a commitment to Tom and the early excitement of their love affair has worn off." Advertisement Falk AdSolution The two main sources of tension are Tom’s strained relations with Katie’s family, and his dedication to the Church of Scientology, which thinks humans are descended from aliens. The friend said: "Katie’s been in the house for so long – usually only going out with Tom and a posse of handlers – that she has lost touch with the world. "She feels disconnected. Not only does she want to get back to work, she needs to. But Tom has all of the scripts submitted to Katie being looked over by Scientologists." Katie’s career has stalled since her last role in Batman Begins but Cruise just wants her to stay at home and is keen for her to get pregnant again by the end of the year. He was recently fired from his £30million-a-year deal with Paramount over his increasingly odd behaviour, including jumping up and down on a couch on Oprah Winfrey’s TV chat show, wildly professing his love for Katie. He has also clashed with Katie’s Catholic dad Martin, a divorce lawyer who has hammered out a favourable pre-nuptial agreement for her. After Suri’s birth, it was reported Cruise wanted Katie to get in shape for their wedding but Martin said she needed rest. He also said her family will not attend a Scientology wedding. The friend added: "The relations between her dad and, Tom really upset her. Tom thinks her dad is always urging her to go against him, while her dad thinks Tom’s a control freak – and even said he has her acting like some Stepford wife"

Pete Doherty to produce a Christmas radio show? |

Troubled rocker PETE DOHERTY has been named as an unlikely guest editor on one of the BBC’s most established current affairs shows. BBC Radio 4’s long-running TODAY programme has already hosted a string of celebrities in the production room, including physicist STEPHEN HAWKING, U2 frontman BONO, and British tycoon SIR RICHARD BRANSON. Now the BABYSHAMBLES frontman, who is currently battling an addiction to heroin and cocaine in London clinic The Priory, is in talks to edit a Christmas (06) show. An insider says, "The programme is going to be unique to say the least. "With Pete in charge the only thing staff are expecting is the unexpected. Today is renowned for its hard news coverage, current affairs and heavyweight politics – but they believe Pete will be a good addition for their reputation in cultural circles. "And as long as the subjects are relevant and in keeping with BBC guidelines, the style and the content of the programme will be left to Pete."

I bet the show will be all about white powder!

Eric Stoltz ok with walking away from Back to the Future |
| September 17th, 2006 under 80s, Michael J Fox. [ Comments: none ]

Pulp Fiction star Eric Stoltz insists he’s happy he missed out on playing Marty Mcfly in the Back To The Future films because he would have struggled to cope with the adulation Michael J. Fox had to deal with. Producers of the time-travelling movies went to Stoltz when Fox initially turned the role down and he played McFly for three weeks. But the part eventually went back to Fox, and the rest is movie history. He tells website Moviehole.net, "I would’ve been unable to walk down the street! It’s a whole different life. I was lucky in that way. It was 20-something years ago and I rarely look back, if at all, but, in retrospect, I think just getting through that difficult period helped me realise how freeing it really was. I went back to acting school, I moved to Europe, I did some plays in New York and I actually invested in myself in a way (and) that was much healthier for me. "If I had become a massive star, I don’t know if I wouldn’t have gone into therapy. On the other hand, I would’ve been exceedingly rich, which would’ve been wonderful." Stoltz admits he has never seen footage of himself as Marty McFly and he’s puzzled why producers haven’t cut that onto a DVD release. He adds, "I don’t know why that was. They certainly don’t ask the actors’ (permission)."

I so do not believe him. I bet he regrets not doing the role. The rumor back in the day is he walked away from the role because he thought Mask was going to make him a household name. I love that movie, but it didn’t do anything for his career. Imagine what Back to the Future could’ve done for his career.
