Thanks Clinton!
I don’t watch Access Hollywood, but I might have to start checking it out to watch Tim Vincent do some of those one-on-one interviews.

Simon Cowell’s mom hit by a car
September 26th, 2006 under Sick Bay, Simon Cowell. [ Comments: none ]

Simon Cowell dashed to his mother’s hospital bedside after she was struck by a car. The TV star’s mother, Julie Cowell, 80, was left badly injured when the vehicle reversed into her. The former dancer has a suspected broken hip and could face a hip replacement operation following Friday’s accident. Cowell’s mother telephoned him after the incident and he went straight to her hospital bedside. He stayed there the next day, watching X Factor with her before flying to the US to start filming a new series of American Idol. Cowell’s publicist Max Clifford said: "She’s a very sprightly 80-year-old. She still goes to aerobics every week so she’s very fit." Cowell told The Sun newspaper: "When I heard, I was worried to death. But she is as strong as an ox and her attitude was a bit like, ‘What’s all the fuss about?’ "I was obviously relieved she is fine and already planning her 100th birthday party."

I hope she gets better soon, but sounds like she is a real fighter still doing aerobics at 80.

Project Runway’s Laura Bennett is a jealous b!tch.
September 26th, 2006 under Project Runway. [ Comments: none ]

FOR the second time this season, a contestant on "Project Runway" may be ejected from the show after possibly running afoul of the show’s rules. Jeffrey Sebelia, 36, of Los Angeles – the contestant best known for having an elaborate tattoo across his throat – has been accused of violating rules that prohibit contestants from receiving outside help for basic sewing, according to a published report. The report said Sebelia was accused of violating the rule by a fellow contestant, Laura Bennett, 43, of New York. "We took the accusations very seriously, and we did a very thorough investigation," said "Runway’s" Tim Gunn in the story. A spokeswoman for the show would not reveal the results of the investigation. She advised watching this week’s episode to find out. Last month, another contestant, Keith Michael of Brooklyn, was booted from the show for violating the rules.

NY Post

Obviously she did not win if she is making these accusations. But seriously what a b!tch to say this, why can’t she face the fact that unlike Jeffrey’s designs all of her designs lacked any form of originality. It was the same thing week after week and her Fashion Week stuff put me to sleep. She just needs to focus on being a mom and not on being a fashion designer.

Weird Al’s album is out today
September 26th, 2006 under 80s. [ Comments: none ]

I don’t know if you’ve heard anything about this or not, but… well, I’ve got a new album, and it’s out as of today.

I’m in the middle of my cross-country promotional blitz – getting a little tired of talking about myself, but still having a great time. The buzz on the new album is huge – the record label seems very excited.

Say, if I could ask a favor… if you are at all inclined to pick up a copy (or 12) of "Straight Outta Lynwood," could you please try to do it this week if at all possible? People in the industry really pay a lot of attention to first week sales figures and chart position – it means a lot to them. (Okay, okay, it means a lot to me too.)

And to all the spoiler-free people who have somehow been able to resist the temptation to download and listen to the album early… I congratulate you and salute your will-power. Now that you’ve come this far, make sure you do it right – after all, you can only listen to a new album for the first time once. When you get home from the record store, unplug the phone. Dim the lights. Anoint yourself in the finest of oils, set out a plate of freshly baked chocolate chip cookies and put the CD in your stereo. Make sure that the volume is turned up to just below the pain threshold, and that you’re sitting in the sweet spot on your couch. Then press play, sit back and bask in the glory and majesty that is "Straight Outta Lynwood." Listen over and over again until the songs are permanently wedged in your brain. Then and only then, you may flip the disc over to the DVD side and play all of the music videos, followed by the making-of-the-album featurette. Then you can check out the 5.1 mixes, or take full advantage of the karaoke function until the neighbors threaten to call the police.

Anyway, enjoy the new album. I really hope you like it.

Oh, by the way… just because you DEMANDED it… we will make "White & Nerdy" hoodies (as seen in the video) available to the public. They should be ready in about a week or so… I’ll keep you posted.

See ya at the in-store!

Call my crazy, but I love his schlock rock!
