Terrell Owens attempted suicide?
September 27th, 2006 under Sick Bay. [ Comments: none ]

According to a Dallas police report obtained by News 8, Dallas Cowboys star receiver Terrell Owens attempted suicide Tuesday night. The report says Owens was depressed and reportedly took prescription pain pills. A woman companion states that she observed him putting two pills in his mouth. According to the police narrative, the woman said the prescription of 40 pills was filled on September 18 and—until Tuesday—Owens had taken only five pills. The police report said Owens was asked if he had taken the rest of the prescription; Owens said, "Yes." The Dallas Cowboys said they have no comment on the reports, nor do they have any news conference scheduled.

This is so sad and I hope he gets the help he needs.

The two-week competition, with winnings going to charity, will be taped at Radio City Music Hall on Oct. 5, 7 and 8, and will be broadcast beginning Nov. 8, it was announced Tuesday. Also on the roster: Regis Philbin, Rachael Ray, James Denton, Doug Savant, Christopher Meloni, Drew Lachey, Carson Kressley, Neil Patrick Harris, Jane Kaczmarek, Joely Fischer, Dana Delany, Mario Cantone, Steve Schirripa, Bebe Neuwirth, Paul Shaffer, Sam Waterston, Soledad O’Brien of CNN and fashion designer Isaac Mizrahi. Each celebrity will earn a guaranteed $25,000 for the charity of his or her choice, and the winner of each show gets a $50,000 charitable pay-off.

USA Today

I love how CNN tries to improve it’s credibility by putting two of their anchors on the show. I hope that they both score the lowest…and you know they will!

Catherine Zeta Jones wears the same dress two days in a row!
September 26th, 2006 under Catherine Zeta-Jones. [ Comments: 1 ]

Every woman has her favourite little black dress. And it seems Catherine Zeta Jones loves hers so much she wore it two nights on the trot. While most celebrities are careful not to be seen in the same outfit twice, the Chicago actress appears to have no such hang-ups. She was wearing the figurehugging Versace number and a pair of black stilettoes when she and 62-year-old husband Michael Douglas visited The Wolseley restaurant in Piccadilly on Sunday night. And last night – as the couple celebrated their joint birthdays at Lebanese restaurant Fakhreldine, Catherine, 37, proved that while you can take the girl out of the valleys, something of the valleys remains in the girl. For, while the £150 million combined fortune of the Darling Buds of May actress and her husband means they could snap up the entire Versace collection, the repeat appearance of the frock suggests the girl from Cardiff is not too proud to get some serious value for money from her fashion purchases. The second time around though, she gave the dress an injection of glamour with a lace bolero and a new handbag.

I hope she at least got it cleaned before she wore it the second day!

Anna Nicole’s lawyer is the father of her baby girl?
September 26th, 2006 under Anna Nicole Smith. [ Comments: none ]

ANNA NICOLE SMITH’s close friend, lawyer and confidante, HOWARD K. STERN, broke his silence Tuesday night on "LARRY KING Live" for the first time on TV following the sudden death of Anna Nicole’s son, DANIEL. In a bombshell interview, Stern claims that he is the proud father of Anna Nicole’s baby girl, who he says is named DANNYLYNN HOPE (sic). "Anna and I have been in a relationship, and we love each other, and it’s been going a very long time," he told King. "[Due to the fact that I am her lawyer], we felt it was best to keep everything hidden." When pressed by King whether or not he is the father of the child, Stern replied, "Yes sir. Proud father. Based on the timing of when the baby was born, there is no doubt on our minds." Last week, photographer LARRY BIRKHEAD came forward to ET, claiming he is the father of Anna Nicole’s child and is willing to take a paternity test. Stern acknowledged that he himself has not yet taken a paternity test, but he won’t be doing Birkhead "any favors" and questioned the man’s reasoning for the claim. "First you have to look at what his motives are," said Stern. "It’s unforgivable … that he would go to the media and not wait for Daniel to be put to rest. If he truly felt he was the father, I think he would have handled it differently." Stern added that he and Anna Nicole plan to get married at some point in the near future: "With everything that’s gone on, we’ve realized [how much we love each other] … We will; at some point we will. We have to get through what we’re going through. … We really haven’t been allowed to grieve, with the whole way this has been handled." As for Anna Nicole’s condition, the worn-out-looking lawyer explained, at times choking back emotion, "She’s having a tough time of it; I can’t really imagine a worse condition. … Daniel was her rock, so everything that she’s gone through, Daniel’s been with her, and honestly I don’t know how we’re going to get through this." Stern was with Anna Nicole when she found the lifeless body of her 20-year-old son in her hospital bedroom just days after giving birth to her baby daughter earlier this month. He had picked up Daniel from the airport, and regarding the hours leading up to his sudden passing, he said to King, "It was one of the best nights I’ve ever remembered. Anna had her son and her new baby girl, I was there, and it was great." In the middle of the night, Stern said Daniel stayed up to watch TV and helped his mom to the bathroom several times. Then, Stern recalled, "At one point Daniel said to me, ‘How come I’m so tired?’ In hindsight, I wish that I had seen that as some sort of a signal, and seen that something wasn’t right." Two separate autopsies were performed on Daniel to determine the cause of death — one by Bahamian officials and one by private pathologist CYRIL WECHT — but toxicology reports were inconclusive; they reportedly came back negative for any illegal substances, and the reported prescription drugs in his system were not at levels high enough to be deadly. The results of two more toxicology tests are yet to be released. "There’s just no way that Daniel would have taken his life," Stern told King. "He was so excited to come here to be with his mom and see his sister — I couldn’t fathom that he would have done this intentionally." Daniel’s body remains in the Bahamas, and Stern did not want to reveal details about the funeral.

Entertainment Tonight

OMG! This story gets weirder and weirder everyday. But part of me just doesn’t believe he is the father, he might say that just so that Larry Birkhead won’t file for custody. But then again with Anna Nicole who the freak knows what is next?

Very sad update on Rev. Run’s baby
September 26th, 2006 under Obits. [ Comments: none ]

A rapper’s wife gave birth Thursday, but the scene quickly turned to tragedy after their newborn girl was pronounced dead. Rev Run, a.k.a. Joseph Simmons, shocked fans last year when he announced that his wife Justine was pregnant on his MTV reality show "Rev’s House." Justine’s pregnancy was the cliffhanger on the MTV show last season. It generated intense interest among viewers who have been anxiously following the pregnancy and awaiting the birth. Simmons, a member of the legendary rap group Run DMC, was at Valley Hospital in Ridgewood New Jersey Tuesday for the birth of his child. Doctors delivered the baby via c-section, revealing a cruel twist of fate — the baby was born with her organs outside the body. The newborn died a short time later. TMZ has learned that MTV cameras were inside the hospital at the time of the birth, though we do not know if they were in the delivery room.

Answer this…

This is so sad and to think they we will have to re-live this over and over on the show.
