Neil Young needs you!
July 5th, 2006 under Music, Politics. [ Comments: none ]

Hello MySpace Friends..

GlobeTV will be filming a documentary about "Living with War" and the upcoming CSN&Y tour.
And we need your help.

What we are looking for:

"People with stories or pictures of being at Woodstock or another concert tour with CSN&Y music that influenced their lives and is now influencing their children’s or friends’ lives because of similar hopes and fears about the war and the state of the country and the planet. Ideally we would try to visualize their earlier experiences with the music, their lives today and catching-up with the group and music on this summer’s tour. Having a relative or friend involved in the Iraq war, for or against or having served or about to serve would be most helpful. We would also be interested in much younger fans inspired by the music and the message more so than they would be by the younger and more contemporary music groups.

We can include those ranting against W and the war. But the richness and humanness of their perspective and story (i.e. Viet vet, parent of an Iraq war vet etc) would make their outrage more effective."

If you fall into any of these catagories.. or would just like for your voice to be heard.. Please contact RustedSister. Please DO NOT reply to this bulletin.. Please email all inquiries and any stories you have to share to:

rustedsister@gmail.com

Those of you that submit your stories and or voices will most likely be interviewed at the show you are attending. If you are not attending any shows this tour.. Other arrangements will be made.

Thank You

~peace~

Wonder if Tori will see any of the money from the sale?
July 5th, 2006 under Aaron/Candy/Tori Spelling. [ Comments: none ]

TMZ has learned that Candy Spelling, Aaron’s widow, has quietly put the Spellings’ legendary mansion on the market for $150 million.

Sources in the real estate industry say Westside Estate Agency (WEA)  has a pocket listing on the 56,000 square foot estate, meaning it is is quietly being shopped among realtors and select buyers.  The mansion, located in the exclusive Holmby Hills area of L.A., was completed in 1991 for around $47 million, which includes $10 million for the land.

One real estate source says Candy Spelling has let a lot of people on the staff go and that the buzz is that she is going to shut the house down so it can be shown by realtors.  Aaron Spelling died on June 23.

Man is it just me or does it seem like Candy could not wait for him to die so she could get the inheritance?

New twist in BB Aussie incident?
July 5th, 2006 under Reality International. [ Comments: none ]

A new twist in the Camilla incident is making the rounds. On yesterday’s Kyle and Jackie O radio show John’s father called in and passed along information given to him. He said an anonymous tipster had told him that on Friday afternoon at approx. 1.30pm Camilla said group of housemates she wanted to be turkey slapped. Although Camilla’s conversation is unconfirmed, John’s father believes Big Brother knew about it all along and wants to persue legal action against the producers. Meanwhile talk of legal threats is happening all over the place: Ashley’s family are also looking at suing producers/Channel 10. We also hear Endemol Southern Star have threatened action against John and Ashley is they break their contracts and say anything "bad" about Big Brother. On top of this an article published in News Limited papers yesterday states Camilla has the ability to sue the production team if she feels she was sexually harassed by the boys.

Avril and Deryk’s wedding any day?
July 5th, 2006 under Avril Lavigne, Sum 41, Weddings. [ Comments: none ]

Avril Lavigne and Deryck Whibley have apparently sped up their wedding plans.

Etalk reports that a California ceremony is imminent for the punk princess and the Sum 41 frontman.
Friends and family of the pair were reportedly notified days ago of the plan and told to book their tickets immediately for Santa Barbara, where the Canadian rockers have a house together.
Earlier reports had suggested the wedding would take place Aug. 26, but media scrutiny apparently spurred the couple to move up the date.
Lavigne’s publicist Sean Cordner would not confirm the reports.
"I cannot comment on the personal lives of our artists," said Cordner.
The Insider website reports that Lavigne’s bridal shower was last Friday. The racy gifts were said to include a sexy red bra, a thong and some handcuffs.
Other reports suggest wild days may soon be over for the Complicated songstress and her party boy fiance Whibley, once linked to Paris Hilton.
Lavigne, 21, of Napanee, Ont., and Whibley, 26, of Toronto, are said to have put a nursery in their home.

Roger Ebert update
July 5th, 2006 under Sick Bay. [ Comments: none ]

Chicago Sun-Times film critic Roger Ebert was showing signs of improvement Tuesday at Northwestern Memorial Hospital after an emergency operation over the weekend to repair complications from an earlier cancer surgery.
He remained in serious condition. His wife, Chaz Ebert, sent a note to an “Ebert & Roeper” show publicist that said: “I’m happy to report that Roger is in stable condition and is improving each day. He has an excellent medical team . . . and they’re optimistic about his recovery. We have every confidence in their abilities.”
