Buy the shirt Eminem and D-12 wore to Proof’s funeral
June 27th, 2006 under Eminem, Music. [ Comments: none ]

EMINEM and his fellow D-12 rappers have licensed a production run of the T-shirts they wore to slain bandmate PROOF’s funeral to raise money for his family.
Proof – real name DESHAUN HOLTON – was shot dead in a Detroit, Michigan, nightclub in April (06) after he reportedly opened fire on a bouncer at the CCC venue.
Close friend Eminem paid his respects during an emotionally charged service claiming, "Without Proof, there would be no Eminem, no Slim Shady." He is now urging fans who also wish to commemorate Proof’s life to wear the same Big Proof Forever T-shirt he sported at the ceremony, and buy a limited edition poster at BigProof4Ever.com.

Ding Dong the Witch is gone
June 27th, 2006 under The View. [ Comments: none ]

Star Jones Reynolds announced Tuesday morning on The View that she’ll be leaving the show in July after nine years as a cohost.

"Something’s been on my heart for a little bit, and after much prayer and counsel I feel like this is the right time to tell you that the show is moving in another direction for its tenth season and I will not be returning as cohost next year," she said on the air.

"That’s shocking to me," interrupted Joy Behar, prompting Jones Reynolds to link hands with her cohosts.

Thanking the show’s creator, Barbara Walters, "for giving me the opportunity of a lifetime," Jones Reynolds concluded by saying, "I’m not sure what the future holds, but I’m absolutely sure who holds the future."

After some discussion, Walters said, "It is a new chapter for Star. It will be a new chapter for The View in the fall."

So why is Jones Reynolds leaving? Contrary to speculation that she’s unhappy about the upcoming addition of Rosie O’Donnell – one of her most vocal critics – to the show this fall, she reveals exclusively in this week’s PEOPLE magazine that the departure was not her choice.

"What you don’t know is that my contract was not renewed for the tenth season," she tells PEOPLE. "I feel like I was fired." She adds that she was told her contract wouldn’t be renewed just days before news leaked that O’Donnell would be joining The View.

And Yoko Ono already has
June 27th, 2006 under Paul McCartney/Heather Mills. [ Comments: none ]

Yoko Ono has leaped to the defence of Sir Paul McCartney and his estranged wife Heather Mills, telling the media and public to leave them alone in the wake of their recent split.

The former Beatle and Mills announced they were divorcing last month after nearly four years of marriage and a baby daughter Beatrice together.

John Lennon’s widow Ono, who has a famously strained history with her late husband’s bandmate, admits she sympathises with the couple.

Ono says, "I think that the attacks should stop with me. I have an ideal reason for you guys (the media) to dislike me, for being an Asian and a foreigner and for standing up for myself and my work.

"Whatever it is that made it easier for you to make me a scapegoat is still there so leave them alone. I feel so badly for them.

"I send them Christmas cards and a congratulatory note when their baby was born."

Heather Mills is losing it
June 27th, 2006 under Paul McCartney/Heather Mills. [ Comments: none ]

Heather Mills says she fears she could be shot dead or stabbed like former Beatles legends John Lennon and George Harrison.
Friends have expressed concern about her health after the estranged wife of Sir Paul McCartney was seen filming people on the street to gather evidence.
Armed with a video camera, the former model hit out at a photographer in a bizarre outburst.
She said: "People are pursuing me round the country. I said stay away from my baby. I have a catalogue of evidence.
"John Lennon was shot and George Harrison was stabbed and loads of kids are kidnapped."
Heather is said to fear kidnappers could target her two-year-old daughter Beatrice because of her links to The Beatles, according to reports.
The 38-year-old was left devastated after stories about her unsavoury past emerged, revealing she had posed for pornographic books and showing her performing sex acts.
She is thought to be suffering enormous stress in the wake of the damning revelations.
One friend told The Sun: "We are increasingly concerned about her behaviour. Naturally Heather is protective of her daughter but she is even more paranoid about her own safety."
It is thought Heather has turned to water therapy to relax.
The former model was seen carrying an aquatherapy attachment for a session at Hove therapy centre.
Despite the shocking stories about her past, Heather stands to earn £200million slice of her ex-husband’s fortune in their forthcoming divorce battle.
It is likely to be Beatrice who is the biggest cause of bitterness as the two start proceedings.
Sir Paul has offered his ex-wife a £25million settlement if she allows the toddler to live with him.
But Miss Mills has signalled that she would prefer custody of the child while lawyers have said she could win as much as £200million of Sir Paul’s £830million fortune.
