ABC announced today that they picked up American Idol for a 25th season, its 10th on the network.
Not only that, auditions in all 50 states and Washington, D.C. start next month. So if you were born between June 2, 1997, and February 15, 2012, then now is your chance to try to be the next American Idol. You can apply here.
However, there are two things that they did not announce. What are they? They will announce the judges and host at a later date. I have a feeling that they will not be changing things up, but they should.
I would love to see Paula Abdul replace Carrie Underwood for the milestone season. Say what you want about her, she knew how to pick singers.

I don’t know about you furrents, but my cat hates that she cannot go to the movies to see films with kitties starring in them. And I guess we are not alone because Air Bud is going to the dogs. Or should I say they are letting the dogs go to him for three screenings of the original film around the country.
They are:
August 3 – Los Angeles, St. Barks, 10740 Ventura Blvd, Studio City, CA 91604
August 5 – Chicago, ChiTown Drive-In, 2343 S Throop St, Chicago, IL 60608
August 10 – Kansas City, Boulevard Drive-In, 1051 Merriam Ln, Kansas City, KS 66103
Since there is one right by me, I will be taking my cat’s best friend or her cousins to see the film. I would bring her, but she is a feline, so I need to borrow a puppy.
Along with showing the 1997 feature, movie-goers will also get to see an exclusive look at Air Bud Returns.
“AIR BUD RETURNS is literally the ultimate underdog story, and one that uniquely features the connections and unique bonds families share with their pets,” said Cineverse Chief Motion Pictures Officer Yolanda Macias. “By partnering with the PEDIGREE brand to create this dog-friendly event, we’re giving fans of this enduring franchise — and their pups! — a unique way to experience that onscreen magic in the real world with their families.”
Pedigree and Cineverse are sponsoring the screenings, so your babies can expect free treats to enjoy while they watch their puphood idol.
So pamper your best friend and yourselves with a night out during the dog days of summer! RSVP here to attend.
Air Bud Returns travels into theaters on January 22, 2007.
Before Shelley Long had sexual tension with Sam Malone on Cheers, there was another man who was infuriating to her on The Love Boat. How funny was the 28-year-old in that 1978 episode with brown hair?
Jumanji is back for one last round, and today Sony is showing what to expect from the final level. And it looks like a laugh riot as Spencer as Dr. Xander “Smolder” Bravestone (The Rock), Franklin “Mouse” Finbar (Kevin Hart), Professor Sheldon “Shelly” Oberon (Jack Black), and Ruby Roundhouse (Karen Gillan) leave the game to come to our reality.
While they are in our world, some new players enter theirs to save us from our two universes combining.
Will two become one? We will find out this Christmas when we press play to watch Jumanji: Open World in theaters.
