On March 3rd, Dolly Parton lost Carl Dean, her husband of 58 years. The singer is paying tribute to the love of her life with a song, If You Hadn’t Been There.
“I fell in love with Carl Dean when I was 18 years old. We have spent 60 precious and meaningful years together,” the singer wrote. “Like all great love stories, they never end. They live on in memory and song. He will always be the star of my life story, and I dedicate this song to him.”
A song that will leave you in tears because you can hear Dolly’s voice crack as she holds back her tears. You can hear how much she loved him with every word because it was written from the heart. And he had her heart for all of her adult life.
Netflix announced today that it picked up With Love. Meghan for a second season, which will debut in the Fall. That seems like an odd move because the lifestyle series has been globally trashed.
So, why did they do it? They explained that “the second season has already completed filming.”
Meghan Markle needs the series to air more than the streamer because she also released As Ever, a lifestyle brand to accompany the show’s premiere this week.
As Ever is only selling eight over-priced spreads and teas as of now. While the prices might not be listed, who actually believes they will be reasonable?
On Sunday, Halle Berry and Whoppi Goldberg were presenters at the Oscars, but not for different categories.
Now, there are rumors they were asked to present together, but Berry refused to do it because The View host is not a nice person.
The rumor got back to Catwoman, and she responded to the catty story. She wrote, “This is totally not true-it’s made up nonsense! I don’t know who makes this shit up!”
I really love that Berry responds to rumors and squashes them herself.
S.W.A.T. got some news today that they have already gotten. The CBS police procedural was cancelled for a third time.
“It’s heartbreaking news, primarily because it’s been such an immense pleasure working with this cast and crew to put out a show that we’ve always been proud of,” S.W.A.T. showrunner Andrew Dettmann said. “They are truly an extraordinary group of people who have all worked so hard and have been so dedicated for all these eight seasons, overcoming countless challenges. I can’t give them enough credit. I feel so privileged to have been a part of the S.W.A.T. family.”
CBS pulled the plug on the show, which stars Shemar Moore, in 2023. But after fan support, they announced it would be back for a seventh and final season. But at the end of that year, it was picked up for an eighth season, which we now know is its absolute final one. Or is it???
UPDATE: Shemar Moore made a video about the cancellation. To hear what he said, then click here!
