Could we get Happy Death 3?
March 29th, 2026 under Blumhouse. [ Comments: none ]

Christopher Landon grew up with a famous father, Michael Landon. However, he has made a successful name for himself with the movies he has written, directed, or both. They are several of the Paranormal Activity films, Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse, Freaky, We Have a Ghost, and Heart Eyes. But the ones he is best known for are Happy Death Day and its sequel, Happy Death Day 2 U.

Since the latter one came out, we have wanted a sequel. But seven years later, we are still living in a timeline that doesn’t repeat itself until we get it right.

But that might change. Jessica Rothe, who starred in both films, said that Landon has a third film ready to go. She told Screen Rant, “I think at this point, it’s just logistics, and all I’ll say to you and all of the fans is, whether it’s next year or when I’m 65, pulling a Jamie Lee Curtis coming back for Halloween. I will be there to finish Tree’s story. So, it’s just a matter of when they get all their ducks in a row.”

She also said that if you put it out there, it will happen. So put it out there, and Jason Blum and Blumhouse will give it to us! I think it would be the best birthday present he can give all of us, and he owes us for watching all of his films.

Burger King has a Kids Meal for Millennials
March 29th, 2026 under Burger King. [ Comments: none ]

While most Kids Meals are for kids, Burger King created one for Millennials to feel like kids again. How? They have eight toys from their childhood in each box. Each King Jr’s Kid Meals box comes with a Transformer, a Furby, a My Little Pony, or a Nerf toy.

I might not be a kid anymore, but I want those Furby toys. How cute are they? Actually, they are all adorable. Which one do you want?

CBS closes shop on Watson and DMV
March 27th, 2026 under Morris Chestnut. [ Comments: none ]

The other day, CBS renewed the plagued CIA for a second season. And I knew that meant that the writing was on the wall for Watson. Today, we found that the medical procedural starring Morris Chestnut as John Watson, a doctor who tries to solve medical mysteries instead of murder.

Watson was supposed to premiere during the midseason this season. However, because CIA was not ready to air in October due to the showrunners and cast members leaving the FBI spinoff, Watson’s premiere was moved up several months and did not get the promotion it needed. Plus, it also isn’t a Dick Wolf show, and we know how the networks love him and his series.

Basically, I think it is fucked up that it was cancelled over CIA. But the average CBS viewer prefers police procedurals over medical ones.

And the thing that really frustrates me about CBS is that they never know how to promote comedies. Because of that, DMV is no longer serving drivers and nondrivers. It had a rough start, but once it quickly found its groove, it was the network’s most endearing comedy.

NBC renews Chicago One for another season
March 27th, 2026 under Dick Wolf. [ Comments: none ]

Today is a good day for Chicago because NBC renewed Chicago Fire for a 15th season, Chicago P.D. for a 14th season, and Chicago Med for a 12th season. The news is not a surprise because they are the network’s most-watched shows.

The three Dick Wolf first responders procedurals join the two comedies, Happy’s Place and St. Denis Medical, on next season’s schedule.

The scripted shows still waiting to hear what the future holds for them are Brilliant Minds, Law & Order, Law & Order: SVU, Stumble, The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins, and The Hunting Party.

Of those shows, I think that the Law & Orders and Reggie Dinkins have the best chance of coming back next season. When it comes to the Dick Wolf shows, while the series will be back, I doubt that all the series regulars will be back. The more time you are with a show, the more expensive you are. And broadcast television doesn’t have the money it once had.
