So far, no new broadcast series has gotten any additional episode orders for their first seasons. However, CBS announced today that it has picked up its Friday night police procedurals, Boston Blue (the Blue Bloods spinoff) and Sheriff Country (the Fire Country spinoff), for a second season.
“Two new shows on Friday night have become instant hits, with audiences quickly embracing BOSTON BLUE and SHERIFF COUNTRY across broadcast and streaming,” said Amy Reisenbach, president of CBS Entertainment. “These early renewals reflect the power of character-driven storytelling, compelling narratives and the exceptional talent on both sides of the camera that make these series truly stand out.”
Both shows win their timeslots on Friday nights, averaging around 7 million viewers, so the decision makes sense.

Dylan Efron and Boston Rob worked together on The Traitors, and they bonded so well together that they created a lifelong friendship.
However, things might change for them because they created a competition show between only themselves to see who is better at different challenges.
Everything’s a Competition is a fast-paced YouTube series where best friends and fierce rivals Dylan Efron and Boston Rob face off in a new, unpredictable challenge each episode. From physical feats to absurd creative showdowns, no competition is too weird, wild, or humiliating.
Who do you think will be the survivor at the end of the season? Will it be the man who won The Traitors or the one who lost the game?
