Rob Lowe’s ‘son’ spent Father’s Day with his real dad
June 16th, 2024 under Rob Lowe. [ Comments: none ]

It is Father’s Day, and kids all over the World are spending time with their fathers.

Johnny Lowe is no differnt. So, today, he drove over to spend the day with his dad. Not Rob Lowe, but John Stamos.

What did they do? They watched some of the Full House star’s finest work! It was a real bonding moment for the father and son.

Although I am not sure that is his “dad” because Johnny looks a lot like Rick Springfield.

And now that I think about it, it makes sense. Springfield sings Jessie’s Girl, Stamos played Uncle Jesse, so does that mean that Sherly Lowe is Jessie’s girl?

A post shared by Gordon Ramsay (@gordongram)

Earlier this week, Gordon Ramsay went for a bike ride in Connecticut. However, it did not go well, and he says he is lucky to be alive. And the only reason he is still with us is because he wore a helmet.

So he is telling everyone, old and young, to wear a helmet. It is worth the cost because it can mean the difference between life and death.

When it comes to how he is doing, he says he spent some time in the hospital. Then he gave us an update on his condition, “I’m doing ok and did not break any bones or suffer any major injuries but I am a bit bruised up looking like a purple potato.”

The Master Chef lifted up his coat and showed us his upper left torso. It is covered in a deep purple bruise.

Hopefully, he will be better soon, physically and mentally, because you can tell how shaken up he is from it.

James Brolin turned down Superman
June 14th, 2024 under Andy Cohen, Josh Brolin. [ Comments: none ]

We know the late Christopher Reeve as Superman. But that almost wasn’t the case.

James Brolin told Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live yesterday that he was offered the role but turned it down.

The actor had several successful film roles in the early ’70s, like Skyjacked and West World, and said he “couldn’t see being in a red sock hanging up on wires, and them saying ‘That’s lunch.’ And I’m like, ‘Get me down. There were just a lot of things about it that I thought would change the direction of my career.”

While he does not regret turning down that role, he said that he regrets accepting the TV show Hotel from Aaron Sorkin and not holding out for the right film role after a two-year drought.

As someone who grew up watching The Amityville Horror and Marcus Welby, M.D., I think he made a mistake. Because his legacy is now being Mr. Barbra Steisdand and it could’ve been as something else.

So that is why they are calling it Deadpool and Wolverine
June 14th, 2024 under Hugh Jackman, Ryan Reynolds. [ Comments: none ]

I don’t know about you, but I keep calling Deadpool and Wolverine, Deadpool vs Wolverine.

But not anymore. Thanks to a new print Portuguese ad for the film.

It shows Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman dancing as Beauty and the Beast. And with that, I now know why it is “and” as compared to “versus.”

The Rom-Com will be released on July 26th.

R.E.M.’s first public performance since 2007
June 14th, 2024 under Michael Stipe. [ Comments: none ]

R.E.M. was inducted into the Songwriter’s Hall of Fame yesterday, and all four founding members were there to accept the honor.

If you are going to have Michael Stipe, Mike Mills, Bill Berry, and Peter Buck in the room together, then we better hear them perform. And that is what they did. The band, who disbanded in 2011, sang their hit Losing My Religion.

It was the first time they publically played together since 2007. That reunion performance with Berry was for their induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

We are running out of inductions to trick them into performing, so we are going to need a tactic to get them to perform more often, even though they told CBS Mornings that those days are over.

I don’t know why they are. Stipe’s voice is still as haunting as ever,` and the band still sounds great. So why not hit the road to delight us? I bet it would do the same for them.

And as a side note, am I the only one who wishes they had done a different song? Losing My Religion is one of my least favorite songs from them, and it is all about me wanting to hear them sing Stand.
