Young & Hungry is back tonight at 8p on the same network but with a different name, ABC Family is now Freeform. I recently sat with the show’s star Jonathan Sadowski, who plays the multi-millionaire businessman Josh Kaminski, and he told me how that name change is going to affect his deliciously sweet sitcom. He said, “The show has been a little edgy for ABC Family, but we are definitely pushing the envelope this season. There are some scenes that are jaw dropping scenes.”
When I asked him if he could give me a hint, he said, “Scantily clad people!” Can we expect those scantily people to be Gabi (Emily Osment) and him finally together? He responded with, “You can expect that, whether it is going to happen or not, you are just going to have to tune in to see on season 3.” So what it is going on between the boss and his chef’s, on again, off again, in love with someone else, in love with another person and in love with that other person, relationship? He revealed, “I think it is evidently clear that we’ve expressed our feelings for each other over and over, just a series of near misses. I think if and when it happens, the writers know what they are doing.”
Sadowski loves the character that the writers created for him. He told me, “I mean who doesn’t like to get to play a multi-millionaire who is a big kid that loves toys gadgets.” Then he added, “I definitely share a lot of traits with Josh. We are big kids at heart, both kind of geeky. We are loyal to a fault, always protecting our friends and family. He’s a great character to play, I love it.” Why does he love it so much? He gleefully explained why, “I love playing Josh because he is a guy that people root for. Like I said he is loyal to a fault. He is honest. He is genuinely a great guy. Don’t get me it is wrong, it fun to play a villain too. This is a guy you want to be friends with. This is a guy you want to win. This is the guy you want to see wind up with the girl.”
Will he wind up with the girl? We will just have to keep tuning in every Wednesday at 8p to see if he gets Gabi. And if he doesn’t get her, then who will he get? He is definitely a catch for all the reasons that he listed and so many more.
Young & Hungry is back on ABC Family tonight at 8p. When we last left Gabi (Emily Osment) she was beginning an internship in Switzerland with a top chef. During tonight’s summer premiere, we find out how Gabi is doing at her new job overseas. Since it is Gabi, she has burned down the restaurant she was working at and she was fired. Now that she is back in the US, she is jobless.
Josh (Jonathan Sadowski) needs to eat, so he hired a new chef. That means she can’t go back to him. Thankfully, she gets a job with Josh’s neighbor. How awkward will that be for Gabi and Josh? You will just have to tune into this scrumptious comedy to find out. It gets better and better with each episode, so you will want to tune in.
And can someone please tell me why ABC Family hasn’t paired this show up with Baby Daddy yet? They are the network’s best comedies and deserve to air together. Who is with me?
Ashley Tisdale was on Conan O’Brien’s yesterday and she admitted to the TBS late night host that she has a girl crush on Jessica Lowndes. In fact, when she needed to cast someone to be her former girlfriend on the show she produces, she made sure to hire the star of A Deadly Adoption as her love interest on ABC Family’s Young & Hungry.
She then told Conan, “I got to kiss her, that was a lot of fun.” Then she added, “It was fun for my husband too!” I wonder who had the most fun when the two of them locked lips, Ashley or her husband? That night, I would say, it was easily a tie! Maybe a three way tie?

Young & Hungry is back with a whole new season on ABC Family tonight at 8p and it takes place the morning after. Josh (Jonathan Sadowski) is discovered in bed with a blonde woman by Yolanda (Kym Whitley) and Elliott (Rex Lee), but is it his cook Gabi (Emily Osment)? Did Gabi spend the night with Josh, the man she secretly loves, or her boyfriend Cooper (Jesse McCartney) who decided to surprise her? You will just have to tune in for another sweet and funny episode to find out.
Before Emily Osment was reading cooking books on Young & Hungry, she was writing poetry on 3rd Rock From the Sun. How awwwwdorable was the 7 year old in that 1999 episode?
