It has been almost 22 years since Batman Forever came out, and yesterday Val Kilmer tried on the Caped Crusader’s mask again. Although the fit wasn’t as good as it was in 1995 Blockbuster, he still looks like he did when he played his biggest role of his career to date.
When it comes to how he ranks with the other Batmans, all the past Bruce Waynes can always say they were better than Ben Affleck. Like all Bonds, James Bond can say they were better that Pierce Brosnan. Back to Val and The Dark Knight, at least he didn’t kill the franchise off like George Clooney did.
Who is your favorite and least favorite Batmans? Mine fav is Adam West and worst is Clooney. But I hate everything Clooney does these days!

Today is Easter, and several men put on their bunny ears for the holiday to get their hoppity on. They are Val Kilmer, Robert Downey Jr, Pat Sajak, Dax Shepard and John Stamos. Do you prefer Batman or Iron Man? Or are you just going to let the CHiPs spin the wheel of fortune and land where they may. It is a full house, no matter what you prefer.
I do not know about you, but I want to bunny hop with all of them. I just hope the rabbit does not dye! Yes, dye!
Sorry to bore you who know I'm healthy but there's more lies again that I'm "ill". I mentioned the other night I was doing speech therapy! pic.twitter.com/em89Zl7Blm
Even though Val Kilmer has been looking and doing better since his health scare 2 years ago, certain sites like to say he is on his deathbed every few weeks. The actor, who has been doing Q&A as he tours the country with his film Citizen Twain, looks good but sadly sounds awful do to a swollen tongue he suffers as an unknown side effect from the tumor. No matter how many times he says he is healthy, certain sites and even actors say he is not.
Sometimes he ignores them, but then other times he feels the need to speak out. Today, he took to Twitter and said that he is getting speech therapy to help him sound more like his old self. Hopefully, it will help and then maybe he won’t be considered gravely ill anymore.
I mean if his time was nearing, why would he be traveling the country for the last few months promoting his movie that is a film of the one man show he wrote and starred in. Wouldn’t he be at home in bed waiting to die? To me, that says he is on the mend and doing better. Not only has he been working on this project, he shot 3 films last year and a music video. Does that sound like a dying man? To me, that sounds like a man who is on the mend and can’t wait to work as much possible. Which is exactly what he is doing and good for him.
Val Kilmer is touring the country with his film Cinema Twain, which was a one-man show he did several years ago, and he sat down with KLOS last week to talk about it. While there have been several reports about what is wrong with him, he hasn’t really told us what has been ailing him over the last few years.
In this radio interview, he immediately started it off by explaining to Steve Jones why he looks healthy and yet sounds so different. He said, “I’m alright, I have a bit of a swollen tongue.” Then the Sex Piston guitarist asked him what is going on with him. Kilmer responded by telling him, “I had a tumor, a couple of years ago, and it is just a mystery…I am fully recovered, except for this tongue so I sound a bit like Sly Stallone on Quaaludes.” Then the actor told the radio host that he “feels good.”
After he talked about his health, he then went on to tell stories about his exciting life in Hollywood with stars like Bob Dylan, working on Top Gun and more about his current tour with Citizen Twain and the Q&A he does after the screening.
It is nice to see he hasn’t lost his humor with everything going and looking great, just wish he would sound like he did in Real Genius. When I was a teen, I used to try to do that laugh he did. I swear I gave myself whiplash more than once. I would love to see him do that again because it is so iconic. Hopefully in due time, the swelling will go down soon and he will sound just like he used to.
He has several dates coming up this month in California. If you would like to see his movie, then check out ValKilmer.com for ticket information.
