For the last few years, there has been a question that has been puzzling the World Wide Web. Is that Bill Murray or Tom Hanks in a photo with a woman and her baby. Graham Norton had to know who it was, so he asked one of the men who is rumored to be in that photo is it him or the other guy? Forrest Gump went all Scrooge and revealed it is Bob in that photo. Don’t believe it, see him reenact the photo with an orange rain poncho, Gemma Arterton and Joseph Gordon-Levitt as the baby. Are you convinced?
The only thing I am convinced of now, is I no longer can tell them apart because they really do look alike in the face. And here I thought that title only belonged to Isla Fisher and Amy Adams, and Jonah Hill and Seth Rogen. Which actors do you confuse all the time?
Ron Howard was on Conan O’Brien’s show yesterday and the TBS late night host wanted to know about a scene in Inferno where we see Tom Hanks underwater. The Director revealed that they shot that scene on the last day of filming. The Oscar winning actor was dragged under the water and his head kept hitting pillar. After several knocks on the noggin, he came up for air and said, “Ron Howard, Professional Director, saves the stuff that can kill the star to the last day.” Did he? “Abso-f*cking-lutely!” That’s right Opie Cunningham cursed! Who knew? I love it and love him even more for doing it!
Remember when you saw Bog and you loved how Tom Hanks tickled the huge ivy on the floor of FAO Schwartz with his feet? That was pure happiness moment in the movie, but it was one of many. We also adored when he sang Shimmy, Shimmy Cocoa Pop with his best friend.
Now 28 years later, Wong Fu Productions asked him to sing that childhood tune and it brings just as huge of a smile on his face.
Almost everything thing Hanks does is pure joy! He is a national treasure and I am glad we get to enjoy him when ever we want.
We know that Tom Hanks is playing Captain “Sully” Sullenberger in Sully, but did you know that Captain “Sully” Sullenberger is playing Tom Hanks in Hanks? He is and yesterday on Jimmy Kimmmel Jimmy Kimmmel Live they debuted the trailer for what should be this year’s biggest Oscar contender.
Not only will Sully be eating a box of chocolates on Oscar Sunday, he will be taking home the gold statuette too. He won’t be the only one doing it that night because Peter Scolari also gives an Oscar Winning performance as himself in the movie. It actually brought tears to my eyes to see him in Hildie’s wig again from Bosom Buddies. So many emotions.
Tom Hanks was a guest on The Late Show yesterday and the two of them were talking about pouring Bailey’s Cream into a bowl of Lucky Charms. Then Stephen Colbert said that he had those ingredients handy. To which Forrest Gump responded, “How about you share that with your guest, a$$hole?” The way he said it, it is as beautiful as all the colorful marshmallows in the sugary cereal.
So how did they like the new breakfast of champions? So much so, I am off to buy some Lucky Charms and Bailey’s Cream to try it out for myself.
