Last week, Meat Loaf passed away after a short undisclosed illness. However, back in September, he filmed his final episode of Ghost Hunters. Today, Discovery+ announced that The Haunted House on the Hill is going to start streaming on February 12th.
This is not Meat’s first appearance on the paranormal investigation show. He made his debut in 2009 and has remained friends with Jason Hawes ever since. Because of that friendship, the late Rocker took part in several investigations throughout the years.
For Meat’s final investigation, he traveled with the TAPS team to a farmhouse in Tennessee, where rumors of terrifying activity have plagued the property for decades. Now that there are new homeowners who own the residence, they want to reassure the community that their home doesn’t harbor any dangerous entities.
Hopefully, Meat and TAPS were able to send the bats out of hell home.
And maybe in a few months, Hawes can find out if Meat is haunting his home.
Back in 1990, The Gainsville Ripper mutilated five college students in Gainsville, Fl over a three-day period. Danny Rolling was finally caught and sentenced to death. Finally, in 2006, his sentence was completed.
Ten years before he was given the lethal injection, there was a movie that came out that was inspired by him. That movie was Scream.
On January 14th on Discovery+’s Scream: The True Story, paranormal investigator Steve Shippy and renowned psychic medium Cindy Kaza Shippy will head to the University of Florida to conduct the first-ever paranormal investigation at the campsite where he stalked his innocent victims. They will also head up to his childhood home in Louisiana, where the current homeowner says there is a lot of paranormal activity going on in her house.
What will they find out? We will just have to watch to find out. And since he was a sick individual when he was alive, I am sure he is a malevolent spirit in his death.
Imagine you are living a normal life, and then all of a sudden, a ghost destroys everything? It happens more than you think, and Eli Roth is telling some of their stories about how A Ghost Ruined My Life every Friday on Discovery+.
Each week, the person whose life was ruined tells us their story while Roth reimagines what happened. For example, in the first episode, a mother of a young son moves into a house, and immediately the haunting begins. She calls in paranormal experts to help her, and they tell her to move. Since she can’t afford to do it, she stays. As time goes on, the entities get more and more evil and destructive. However, one day it goes too far. What will she do now?
In the second episode, a married couple is enjoying their life of wedded bliss until the father of one of the brides dies. After that, he starts to haunt his daughter-in-law, and he won’t leave her alone no matter where they go. Can their marriage survive? Can they convince him to move on?
Roth knows how to make docuseries interesting. He lets the story play out and doesn’t repeat everything like every two minutes. Plus, he knows how to direct the visuals, so you feel like you are experiencing what the haunted person was going through. That is the whole point of dramatizations, and he is a master of it.

Ghost Adventures Zak Bagans owns a museum full of haunted artifacts. He knows a little bit of the story behind them, but not all of it. Along with Eli Roth, they reimagine the story of the items in Haunted Museum that streaming on Discovery+ now.
Together the paranormal investigator and the horror director give each artifact a biopic. We get their origin story as best as Bagans knows it to be and fills in the holes with Roth.
He imagines the stories of Peggy the Doll, the Devil’s Rocking Chair, Charles Manson’s cursed television, an antique mirror with an evil attachment, the Westerfeld dollhouse, a wooden tribal cursed statue, “spiritual equipment” that may be a portal to a demonic dimension, the Demon House staircase and the infamous Dybbuk Box.
On the premiere, he looks into the history of the Westerfeld Dollhouse, which resembles the haunted house that some say may be a portal hell. The mini-likeness is also said to be one. Bagans details what he thinks happened to the family when they owned it.
In the next episode, a woman manufactured a spiritual box that helps her communicate with another realm. What happens when it works, and she makes contact with a demon. That is what Bagans wanted to know, so he creates a dramatization of what he knows of the item’s history.
On October 9th, an innocent rocking chair is not so innocent. There is a demon inside of it, and it has possessed a boy. His family is doing everything in their power to get their son back, but is that even possible? The sheer terror they went through is documented in this chapter.
Unlike most paranormal dramatizations, where the host keeps interrupting the story and repeating things over and over again, Bagans doesn’t do that. Instead, he does the introduction and lets the short movie play out before he comes back at the end to wrap up the story.
It is like getting a horror movie based on a true story every week. One you don’t even have the leave the house to see. As scary as each short film is, they are also intriguing because what we are watching actually happened. They say that truth is scarier than fiction, and this is the perfect mix of both.
We have all heard the scary Lizzie Borden nursery rhyme. If you haven’t, it is “Lizzie Borden took an ax, And gave her mother forty whacks; When she saw what she had done, She gave her father forty-one.”
On August 4, 1892, Borden’s father and step-mom were brutally murdered, and she was accused of the crime. It was one of the biggest trials of the century. But, at the end of it, she was acquitted of the murders.
However, after 130 years, people still believe that she did it. It is something that has haunted her legacy. And some say it still haunts the house where it happened.
So much so, several paranormal investigators have investigated the house. In fact, it has been featured on many paranormal shows. I have to admit, I have seen a few of them. So I can tell you this special is not the same old, same old.
That is because Shock Docs: The Curse of Lizzie Borden, which is streaming on Discovery+ now, changes things up. It is not just, “Lizzie, did you do it?”
Dave Schrader brought together three other paranormal experts to look into the Borden family curse, including someone who is related to her. Sam Baltrusis, author and paranormal expert, is related to her via her mother’s side. They are joined by medium Chris Fleming and paranormal investigator Luann Joly.
They will look into other people in Borden’s family, who were murdered and murdered before her earlier in the 1800s. Are their spirits haunting the house along with Lizzie’s?
Then there have been rumors Lizzie’s uncle might have been practicing in the occult.
But it goes back even further than that. Lizzie’s biological mother was related to someone who was tried in the Salem Witch Trials. Could the family have been cursed for 200 years and not even know it?
All of the above is what the four of them are going to look into as they investigate the house and some neighboring areas that are connected to the family.
What will they find out when they hold a séance and try to communicate with whoever is in the house with spirit writing. Will we finally learn who killed Andrew and Abby Borden. Was she possessed by a dark spirit who killed them? Will she prove to them that she is innocent once and for all? What more will we learn about her relatives that came before her and met horrific ends?
I can’t tell you that. All I can tell is that you want to watch it because this is a new twist on a very old story. One that had me intrigued during the whole two-hour doc.
I am so sick of paranormal shows that do the same thing that other programs have done before them. I never heard anything about the Borden Family Curse before this, and now I am obsessed with learning more.
