A woman put a Rolex up her where, on Discovery Life’s Sin City ER?
March 4th, 2016 under DIscovery Networks/Discovery+. [ Comments: none ]

You know how they say, what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas? Well, thanks to Discovery Life’s Sin City ER, that isn’t always a the case.
Tonight at 10p, a man meets a woman at a hotel bar and invites her up to his room to give him a massage. While she is rubbing her hands all over his body, she tells him to remove his $35,000 Rolex watch. He puts it on the floor below him, so he can keep an eye on it. But he gets distracted and the watch goes missing. He accuses of her taking it, but since she isn’t dressed there is nowhere to hide it. Right?
After being questioned by hotel security, she finally admits that she stole it and hid up her vajayjay. It seemed like a good idea at the time, but now she is in excruciating pain and the police need to retrieve the evidence.
How will they get it back? You will just have to tune in to find out. That and to hear more one liners like, “The benefit, however you want to look at it, to a vagina, is that it’s basically a pouch. If it is small enough and the vagina is big enough, you know. Put up there whatever choose.” He is man, so he might think that sounds like a good idea to him. But as a woman, I say we don’t want to stick whatever fits up there. Although, that is me, and Las Vegas police say they have seen this body part used to hide stuff before. So not every woman has the same stand point on that matter as I do. Now, I want to know what else women have hid up their secret compartment. Or maybe not.
While, we might not get that answer, we will learn about a lot of other interesting things that don’t always stay in Vegas. They don’t call it Sin City for nothing.

Watch Stephen Colbert shoot Adam Savage in the butt with a penny
March 2nd, 2016 under DIscovery Networks/Discovery+, Stephen Colbert. [ Comments: none ]

Mythbusters is ending its long run this weekend, but Adam Savage brought it back to the beginning on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. Back when the show started out, they tested out what would happen if you dropped a penny from the Empire State Building to see if would kill someone on the street.
They did this by shooting a penny at Savage’s butt with a special powerful gun. That was then, this is now. Savage wanted to do that experiment again and he did it on the CBS late night show yesterday. He gave Colbert the gun, pulled down pants and let him shoot him in the a$$. With glee the host did it, and Savage felt the pain.
He didn’t die, but I am sure when he goes to sit down, he will probably wish he did.

Don’t have a Blindspot for what’s on tonight!
February 29th, 2016 under DIscovery Networks/Discovery+, Freeform, Jaimie Alexander, NBC, Smithsonian Channel. [ Comments: none ]

Tonight at 8p on Freeform, Recovery Road picks up where it left off last week. Trish (Kyla Pratt) is in tears because her mother took her daughter and she doesn’t know where they went. Trish called the police and now they are asking her questions to assist with the search. She is inconsolable until Maddie (Jessica Sula) comes up with a solution. Now Trish is opening up to the police officers, but there is something very important she is leaving out. Something so shocking, you will be speechless. So much so, you will not want to wait a week to find out what happens next.
BTW that isn’t the only shocking moment in tonight’s episode that turns out to be a major game changer. So don’t miss a single second of it.

Also at 8p, but on the Smithsonian Channel the new series Major League Legends takes the bat. Each week, they will feature episodes dedicated to baseball greats that everyone knows. With this show you will learn his story and what he went through from his mouth, archived news footage and his fans. It is a history our kids should know about and more importantly we should know about.
Next week, they will feature Babe Ruth, then Ted Williams and finally Lou Gehrig. We know their names, we know their stats, now let’s get to know them.
Major League Legends scores a home run whether you are a fan of the sport or not. If love the game, then this is a must watch and record. If not, you will still say this show came out swinging.

Also debuting tonight, but at 10p on Discovery is Rockin’ Roadsters. When you think of ZZ Top, you think of their music, their beards and their cars. This show is about the latter. Billy Gibbons loves his hot rods and he recruits Jimmy Shine to make his dream cars come true. What does he want to do with it? You will be surprised to find out what this Rocker’s desires are for it.
Together Gibbons and Shine will go looking for an automobile they can customize. Then when they find it, it is up to Shine to Shine. You will watch him convert a piece of junk into the hottest hot rod you’ve ever seen. This show has legs and they know how to use them.

Gold Rush’s Grandpa turns 96 and shares some golden advice!
February 11th, 2016 under DIscovery Networks/Discovery+. [ Comments: none ]

If you watch Gold Rush on Discovery every Friday at 9p, then you would know that Parker’s Grandpa John Schnabel is like a grandfather to everyone there. Today is his 96th birthday, yes he’s 96 years young, and he has some words of wisdom to share with all of us. Having him share his knowledge about life with us is worth more than its weight in gold.
When he was asked what he has learned, in his nearly 30 years, of mining gold, he shared with his fans, “Optimism is the first ingredient that will allow you to succeed. Cause optimism gives you the strength to face difficulties otherwise you would just lay down and say, ‘I quit!'” Then he added, “I think you have to enjoy what you are doing. Frankly, that is almost as important as anything else can be. If you don’t enjoy your work then you are in the wrong place.”
Then someone wanted to know how to succeed in life? His advice is, “You got to make up your mind when you start anything that you are going to win. You can only succeed if you have confidence and an attitude, then it’s possible to be a winner. Otherwise you are going to be left on the side of the road.”
When it comes to what he loves to do besides mining gold. He sweetly revealed, “It’s to spend time with members of my family.”
My favorite question that he answered wasn’t on the video. Someone wanted to know from him how to deal with a difficult person. His response is one we should all follow, “Don’t give up on them. If a person is being difficult, try to find out why. If you can develop an ability to have some measure of empathy with them that will enable you to understand why they act the way they act…you can be a very valuable element in making their life better.”
He is making our lives better by sharing these golden nuggets with us. His words can be used for so many things in our daily lives. Take what he says to heart, and some day share his knowledge with someone else. You can then make someone else’s life better, like he has just made yours.
Now, when it comes to Grandpa John Schnabel, can you believe he will turn 100 during the next leap year? He doesn’t look anywhere close to his age. He looks and acts like someone who is in their 70’s if not younger. Don’t you think?
Make his birthday even more special and watch Gold Rush tomorrow and every Friday at 9p on Discovery.

Do the Honey Boo Boo Bop!
October 1st, 2015 under DIscovery Networks/Discovery+, Honey Boo Boo. [ Comments: none ]

Silento’s Watch Me is on its last Whip/Nae Nae and now it is time to do the Honey Boo Boo Bop. Yes, that Honey Boo Boo is back and now she is singing and dancing her heart out with her first single Movin’ Up. I don’t know if I downed one too many Go-Go Juices, but I can’t stop singing this song.
Maybe Lifetime will give Mama June and her clan a reality show, so that Alana and the girls from Dance Moms can go on tour together. What is up with all these Reality pre-teens trying to pop stars?
