The Rock spent 15 years trying to get Black Adam made, and it finally happened. It made it all the way to theaters and delighted fans all over the world. Therefore, a sequel seemed like a done deal. But today, we found out it is not happening.
“My passionate friends, I wanted to give you a long-awaited Black Adam update regarding the character’s future in the new DC Universe. James Gunn and I connected, and Black Adam will not be in their first chapter of storytelling,” he wrote. “However, DC and Seven Bucks have agreed to continue exploring the most valuable ways Black Adam can be utilized in future DC multiverse chapters.”
Even though DJ’s dream is on hold, he is not bitter toward Gunn. The two have supported each other through the years and will continue to do so.
Today’s revelation says to me that if Black Adam and DJ can’t move forward with the DC Studios’ chiefs, no one can. I think everyone is going to be replaced with the new regime. And that isn’t necessarily a bad thing.
Christmas is coming early on NBC tonight because they are giving us two holiday-themed episodes starting at 8p.
First up is Lopez vs Lopez. All Mayan wants for Christmas is for her divorced parents to celebrate the holiday with her. That and her dad (George Lopez) doesn’t drink, and her mom (Selenis Leyva) doesn’t go overboard. Will she get her wish?
All I will tell you is fans of The George Lopez Show get a gift when Constance Marie, Valente Rodriguez, Luis Armand Garcia, and Belita Moreno are guest stars on the very funny episode.

Then at 8:30p, it is time for Dwanta Claus on Young Rock. We get to see how The Rock celebrated Christmas as a kid and a young adult.
When Dewey (Adrian Groulx) was a little boy, his family didn’t have a lot of money. So, he didn’t get the gifts he wanted. However, this year, he made sure his mom got him the one he wanted. But what is he going to get her? It is not going to be easy because he only has $4 to his name.
Now that DJ is on his way to becoming a huge wrestler, he wants to impress people with the gifts that he gives. However, when the gift isn’t well received, he learns a lesson about how monetary presents aren’t always the best!
All of those December 25ths helped shape The Rock become the man he is today or should I say 2032? And shapes why this series is so enjoyable!
Dwayne Johnson is doing the holiday movie Red One, and it also stars the Red One, as in Santa Claus. Because of that, we got a photo of Santa Claus and Dwanta Claus together. And I am finally in the Christmas spirit. But not enough to listen to Mariah Carey’s All I Want for Christmas Is You. Are we ever ready to hear that song?
It is that time of year when a male celebrity is named People’s Sexiest Man Alive. Last year, they gave the title to Paul Rudd, and this year it was given to Chris Evans.
Stephen Colbert was going to give it to him on The Late Show, but the actor is too busy filming Red One with The Rock. So, they decided that it would be best if the man who was voted that in 2016 would pass on the honor to his co-star. However, Dwayne Johnson is unwilling to give up people calling him that. I mean, he will always be the People’s Sexiest Man Alive, so why can’t he be called that for the rest of his life? Therefore, he is willing to share it with Captain America!
Enough about that. How does Evans feel about being deemed sexy? He wrote, “Thanks @people!! I think we can all agree that it’s damn near impossible to follow in Paul Rudd’s footsteps in any capacity, but I’ll do my best.” If you think about it, Rudd is just an Ant-Man compared to him…
One last thing? Has anyone heard from Lizzo since the announcement? You think she would be screaming from the rooftops about her boo. But maybe, she doesn’t want to share his sexiness with all of us.
The Rock has said he was going to run for President of the United States. He even went as far as making it a plot point in his BioCom, Young Rock, on NBC.
That was then. Is he still considering being a candidate? DJ tells CBS Sunday Morning’s Tracy Smith that “It’s off the table. Yes. It is off the table. I will say this ‘cause it requires a B-side to this.
“I love our country and everyone in it. I also love being a daddy. And that’s the most important thing to me is being a daddy, number one, especially during this time, this critical time in my daughters’ lives. Because I know what it was like to be on the road and be so busy that I was absent for a lot of years in my first daughter’s…Growing up in this critical age at this critical time in their life.”
As much as I love and respect that he is putting being a daddy first. I was going to vote for him, and I was looking forward to saying President The Rock because I think he would be great at the job. And it is all about me and my need to see my college alum get elected as the Head of State.
Were you going to vote for him too?
You can watch the rest of the interview on Sunday morning.
