Marie Osmond’s 18 year old adopted son Michael Blosil committed suicide yesterday by jumping from a building in LA. According to People, he left a note saying that he felt he had no friends and did not fit in. Michael suffered from depression and spent some time in rehab in 2007 around the time when Marie was on Dancing on the Stars.
Marie released this statement, “My family and I are devastated and in deep shock by the tragic loss of our dear Michael and ask that everyone respect our privacy during this difficult time.†Her Las Vegas show with her brother Donny Osmond is cancelled for the time being.
My thoughts and prayers go out to Marie, her ex-husband and her 7 children.
Before you get to the point that Michael Blosil and Andrew Koenig were at, please get help. Things can change, death cannot.
Donny Osmond might be smooth on the Dancing with the Stars dance floor, but he is a complete klutz on The Insider one. Poor Donny, that sounded like it hurt. At least we all got a good laugh from it. I know I did, but I always laugh when people are in pain!!!
Marie Osmond made an impression on Dancing with the Stars when she fainted on the live show, but I think her big brother topped her last night on the show. He did a Cloris Leachman when he went up to the Judges table, dipped Bruno and give him a big kiss on the lips. What has Vegas done to this squeaky clean performer? I am not sure what has happened to him, but I like it!!! It is nice to see that Donny Osmond can be naughty! He needs to be that way more often!!!
On another DWTS note, you so have to respect Tom Delay for continuing on in the competition even though he has stress factors on both feet. That is way admirable. Having said that I hope that he is eliminated tonight for his own health. I enjoyed him on the show, but it is only fair on his feet if his time on the show ends tonight.
UPDATE: Marc Malkin is reporting that Tom Delay will announced tonight on the show that is dropping out of the competition due to his injuries…:( I liked him, but I think it is for the best.
So since season 4 of Dancing with the Stars, Jimmy Kimmel bets on who he thinks he is going to win the season before they even hit the ballroom and this year he has picked Donny Osmond. Now you would think it would be a good that the only late night talk show host on the network that the reality show airs on is supporting you, right? Well as you can see from the below clips it is not a good thing…
His first pick was Ian Zeiring and this how Jimmy handled his loss, which could be why we haven’t seen him do anything since he was on DWTS.
The next two seasons he picked right, by betting Helio Castroneves and Kristi Yamaguchi. But then he winning streak ended and he picked Lance Bass and Giles Marini. Now I didn’t realize until yesterday’s Jimmy Kimmel Live! we haven’t seen Giles Marini since the finale in May. I naturally thought it was because I hadn’t seen him before he was on DWTS, why would I see him afterwards. Well as you can see from the below video, now we know why haven’t seen him…he fell down some stairs…wink wink.
So as you can see from the above videos, Donny Osmond better win Dancing with the Stars for his own safety. But unlike Ian and Giles he has some advantages. First off he is not dancing with Cheryl Burke and second Jimmy taught him how to be evil a few years ago and I love Evil Donny Osmond!!!
Tonight on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on ABC at 12:05 he will have on the first two eliminated Dancing with the Stars couples from season 9 and hopefully for Donny Osmond’s sake he isn’t one of them…
Marie Osmond was suppose to have a syndicated talk show this fall on TV, but Broadcasting and Cable is reporting that due to these economic times the show is no longer happening. Marie was going to film the show in Vegas where she is currently doing a live stage show with her brother Donny Osmond.
“I want to express my deep appreciation for the faithful support and dedication shown by the numerous stations,” said Osmond, who returned to the public spotlight after a popular run on ABC’s Dancing with the Stars. “It was my sincere desire to return their enthusiastic responses by producing an exceptional talk show for their fall schedules; produced with the high quality that is associated with the Marie Osmond brand for over four decades. This project, under proper conditions, still remains a strong passion of mine.”
I wonder if Donny was doing the show with her if it would’ve been a go this fall. While I like both of them solo, they are much better as a pair!
BTW the news is not all bad for her, KVVU is reporting that Donny & Marie was extended for 2 more years and they will playing at The Flamingo until 2012.
