The CW reveals the fate of their three bubble shows |

The CW was bought Nexstar, and they cancelled almost everything but All American and Walker. However, there were three shows that were awaiting their fate.
Today, All American: Homecoming, Superman & Lois, and Gotham Knights found out if they will be on the schedule next year.
The first two will be back for 13 and 10 episodes, respectively, but the latter will not.
It is crazy. For the first time since 2013, there will only be one DC Universe show on The CW.

“The CW” was bought by Nexstar, and the network is a shell of what it used to be. They kept All American, Penn & Teller Fool Us, Whose Line Is It Anyway, Masters of Illusion, and World’s Funniest Animals for the Fall. But other than that, it is reality and imports.
I am not going to complain about the imported shows because I actually enjoy them more than the DC Universe shows. And on that note, “The CW” has not decided if they will order another season of Superman & Lois, Gotham Nights, and All American: Homecoming.

The CW cancels The Winchesters and Kung Fu |

The CW was bought out by Nexstar, and they want to focus more on unscripted and importing scripted shows. So they are pretty much washing their hands of the shows that came before them.
So far, they only picked up All American and Walker for 2023-2024. And today, we found out that they opted to cancel the Kung-Fu and the Supernatural prequel The Winchesters.
“As we reimagine the new CW, we had to make some tough programming decisions,” the network said in a statement. “We thank our partners at Warner Bros. and the casts and creative teams of Kung Fu and The Winchesters for all their hard work, creativity and dedication.”
The latter is being shopped around. Hopefully, it will be picked up by someone else because it was even better than Supernatural in its later years.
There are only three shows left from the old CW that are awaiting their fate. They are Superman & Lois, All American: Homecoming, and Gotham Nights. It will be interesting to see if any of them get picked up.

The CW was bought by Nexstar, and they pretty much canceled everything but a few shows. In January, they renewed All American, but then they went silent.
Today, they announced that they picked up Walker, its #1 rated show, for a fourth season. The Walker, Texas Ranger reboot stars Jared Padalecki.
“Over the past three seasons, WALKER has become the top performing series on The CW with a passionate fanbase and a fantastic cast and creative team led by Jared Padalecki, who has now been a leading man on the network for over twenty years,” commented by Brad Schwartz, President of Entertainment. “As we build a great big new future for The CW, we are thrilled to be staying in business with our partners at CBS Studios and we cannot wait to have WALKER back on the schedule.”
“I’m so excited and grateful to continue the WALKER legacy for another season alongside our partners at CBS Studios and The CW,” said star and executive producer Jared Padalecki. “We can’t wait to make Season 4 bigger and better than ever and to lasso even more fans into the WALKER family. Let’s ride!”
As of now, The Winchesters, All American: Homecoming, Gotham Knights, Kung Fu, Superman and Lois, and Walker: Independence are still waiting to find out their fates.
UPDATE: Walker: Independence will not return next year.

Taye Diggs was killed off of All American |

All American is the only CW scripted show that will be back next season (as of now), so you would think they would do everything to keep its biggest star. However, yesterday we said goodbye to Taye Diggs’ character Billy Barker.
Barker and his team were in a bus accident on the way back from a trip, and the coach saved everyone on the bus as it hung over a cliff. Or so he thought. When he went back in to save Jabari, the bus went over the cliff. And that is the last we will ever see of him.
Diggs spoke with TV Line and shared with them why he decided to leave the show midway through the fifth season. “I was having a great time. It was just a feeling that I got [that I was ready to leave], and I just honored that feeling,” the actor said. “It was maybe mid-fourth season. I don’t even remember, to be honest, because the showrunner [Carroll] and myself are close. We’d been keeping in contact, so she had known, and we’d been talking. And we decided how to go about it, and storylines and whatnot, so it was all above board, and everyone was in the know.”
How do you feel about the heart of the show leaving? Will you still watch?
