Ted Danson brought his nice guy persona to Man on the Inside, and people immediately fell in love with him and the crime-solving Netflix show! So much so that it made the under 55s want to live in assisted living facilities just like the one featured.

Therefore, as soon as the season ended, we wanted more. However, we had to wait for them to film new episodes for us to enjoy. And they did.

So today, the streaming service announced that those new episodes will debut on November 20th. This season takes retiree Charles (Danson) undercover on campus alongside a new lineup of just-announced cast members.

Gary Cole (NCIS, Veep) as Brad Vinick, a successful executive whose sizable donation to his alma mater starts a chain reaction that leads to Charles getting hired.

Michaela Conlin (Bones, For All Mankind) as Andrea Yi, who teaches economics at Wheeler College and is excited about the changes coming to the school.

Max Greenfield (The Neighborhood, Unfrosted) as Jack Beringer, the charismatic president of Wheeler College, whose job requires him to raise money from wealthy graduates.

Sam Huntington (Superman Returns, Being Human) as Max Griffin, a rabble-rousing professor of journalism at Wheeler College.

Jason Mantzoukas (Taskmaster, Big Mouth) as Apollo Lambrakis, an affable contractor who dreams of writing the Great American Novel.

Constance Marie (With Love, George Lopez) as Vanessa, a former con artist who serves as a part-time source on the criminal underworld for Julie (Estrada).

David Strathairn (The Bourne Legacy, Alphas) as Dr. Cole, head of the English department at Wheeler College, and the most famous and popular professor on campus.

Jill Talley (Mr. Show, Spongebob Squarepants) as Holly Bodgemark, the overworked, perpetually frazzled provost of Wheeler College.

Madison Hu (The Brothers Sun, The Boogeyman) as Claire, a Wheeler College junior who works multiple campus jobs to pay for her tuition.

Lisa Gilroy (Interior Chinatown, Jury Duty) as Kelseigh Rose, a budding photographer and the new wife of billionaire Brad Vinick.

Linda Park (Bosch, For All Mankind) as Elizabeth Muki, the director of the fine arts Department at Wheeler College.

Mary Steenburgen (Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist, Book Club) as Mona Margadoff, a former musician who factors heavily into the latest case Charles is trying to solve.

Before Ted Danson owned a bar on Cheers, he hung at one and was drinking Colt 45. How handsome was the 30-year-old in that 1978 commercial?

Ted Danson and EP Mike Schur worked on a sweet little show called The Good Place, and people loved their partnership.

So, when Netflix announced that the two would be working on another series together, we couldn’t wait to watch A Man on the Inside. And we watched. So much so that it has been in the the streamer’s Top 10 for the three weeks it has been out.

Since it is doing so well, Netflix announced today that the dramedy will be back for a second season. Erin Underhill, President, Universal Television: said, “A Man on the Inside is equal parts charming, emotional and funny with a brilliant cast that has made the first season such a delight. A massive thanks to Mike, Ted, the cast and crew, and Netflix for giving us even more reasons to laugh, shed a tear and definitely call our families.”

Creator Schur responded to the news: “We are thrilled to make another season of A Man on the Inside, starring young up-and-comer Ted Danson. From our partners at Netflix and Universal TV to the writers, cast, and crew, it’s a truly exceptional team of talented and lovely people, with one notable exception (young up-and-comer Ted Danson, who’s kind of a nightmare).”

Danson plays a retired man who is recruited to go undercover at an assisted living facility to solve a robbery. Along the way, the inexperienced spy becomes friends with his neighbors in the most lovable way.

This show captures Danson’s kindness because he is one of the nicest people in Hollywood.

There is so much to love about it, even my teenage nieces are loving it. So, if you haven’t watched it yet, you can watch it here. You won’t be disappointed.

Guests on The Jennifer Hudson Show are greeted by the crew of the talk show singing to them as they walk to the set.

The celebrities are so touched by it that they give them a huge smile and dance their way to the stage door.

Ted Danson did his best Saturday Night Fever walk and thanked everyone because he is such a nice guy. Not only does everyone know his name. Everyone loves him!

And then there is monotone Justin Hartley. He didn’t even try and was cold to the warm greeters. He is the most boring guy on primetime TV, and yet he has the #1 show. Can someone explain that to me?

Finally, I love that the J-Hud Show does this for their guests. It puts them in a good mood before they start the interview! Thus, giving the EGOT winner a better chat with them

Ted Danson has been a staple on our television since Cheers debuted in 1982. However, he hasn’t had a leading role since The Mayor ended in 2022.

But that will change in November because the actor will reteam with The Good Place’s creator, Mike Schur, for Netflix’s Man on the Inside.

Charles (Danson), a retired man, gets a new lease on life when he answers an ad from a PI and becomes a mole in a secret investigation. The comedy is based on the documentary The Mole Agent, a 2021 Oscar® nominee for Best Documentary feature.

I can’t wait to watch this show because Danson and Schur are brilliant together. But then again, Danson is always brilliant in whatever he does. That is why we love him so much.
