While the Kansas City Chiefs had an awful night, Fox and Tubi had an excellent one.
According to the early Nielsen numbers, an average of 126 million viewers watched the Super Bowl yesterday on FOX, FOX Deportes, Tubi, Telemundo, and NFL digital properties. Making Super Bowl LIX the most-watched game in its 59-year history.
Streaming also saw record ratings. 14.5 million people watched the Philadelphia Eagles win, with 13.6 million viewers streaming it on Tubi.
The most watched 15 minutes came during the second quarter when 135.7 Million tuned in between 8-815p.
I thought the game was going to have fewer viewers because the match-up seemed like a repeat. And I was wrong.
Some people tune into the Super Bowl for the football game. I watch it for the commercials. And others want to see the halftime spectacular.
Because the performers put on one massive mini-concert, it is one of the most memorable things about the night.
In fact, years later, the halftime is still talked about. And Pop Culture Jeopardy wanted to see how well the contestants remembered those performances.
They got all the clues right, while I didn’t. Had they asked about the commercials, I would have nailed that category.
How excited are you to see Kendrick Lamar and his GNX? I would not be surprised if he came out in the supreme Buick Grand National that was only sold in 1987! Aren’t you proud I know about cars?
Nearly a third of the country is going to stay up late on Sunday night to watch the Super Bowl, which means they are going to wake up tired on Monday.
Therefore, they are going to need a pick me up, and Starbucks has their backs. The coffee shop is giving away a free tall hot or iced brewed coffee.
All you have to do is download their app, become a Rewards member by 11:59p on February 9th, and then apply the Starbucks Monday coupon to your order. After you have done all of that, go to a Starbucks of your choice and pick up your coffee!
If you also had too much alcohol to drink during the big game, then go to Carl’s Jr. and get your free Hangover Burger.
I wonder, who else will be giving away free food on Monday? Because I will need dessert to go with my iced coffee and burger.
Have you ever wondered why Pete Davidson is so popular with the ladies? Now, we know. The “comedian” is an alien.
At least that is according to the classified video that was accidentally leaked by a Hexlad employee today. I won’t mention names because if I do, the government might send Gordon Ramsay to his kitchen nightmare until he goes to Hell’s Kitchen.
Now that we know the truth about Davidson, it explains so much. Don’t you agree?
Last week, Meg Ryan and new to Instagram, Billy Crystal posted a photo that looked like the ending of their 1989 movie When Harry Met Sally and teased that something “iconic” was in the works.
Today, we found it what it was. What is it? A Hellman’s commercial which will air during the second quarter of the Super Bowl.
In the advertisement, the actors go back to Katz’s Deli, and Ryan eats a turkey sandwich. At first, it does nothing for her. But then she adds Hellman’s mayonnaise to it, and she has another orgasm! However, unlike the last one, Crystal says, “This one’s real!”
I am surprised Hellman’s went there because I always think of them as a wholesome company! It’s nice to see they have a naughty side. Because, after all, you cannot say condiment without saying condom!
And that is why my advertising teachers told me not to go into advertising—the bad sexual jokes.
Side note: I wonder how Rob Reiner feels about Sydney Sweeney saying the line his mom did in the film he directed.
Finally, we all figured out that it was going to be a Super Bowl ad. But who did you think they were going to promote?
One more thing. Katz’s Deli teamed up with Hellman’s to release a “What She’s Having” Sandwich Package, which includes 1lb hand-carved turkey breast, half loaf deli rye bread (approx 16 slices), squeeze bottle of Hellman’s mayonnaise, 1lb Swiss cheese, 1 quart Katz’s half-sour (new) pickles, 1lb hand-carved juicy pastrami, 8oz deli mustard, and 1 old-world chocolate babka for dessert. Does it sound like something you would like to have by game day, then you need to order it by February 9th. And for $120, it’s a bargain!
