Back in 1991, we fell in love with Steve Martin and Diane Keaton as a happily married couple, whose daughter (Kimberly Williams-Paisley) is getting married, in Father of the Bride. Then four years later, the father of the bride was becoming a father again and a grandfather for the first time at the same time. Now, 25 years later the Banks are reuniting for Father of the Bride 3(ish).
We don’t know what is bringing them together (I say double wedding for the babies from the first sequel), but Netflix says it is for a special event. That special event might have something to do with the World Central Kitchen. That is because the reunion, that is written and directed by Nancy Meyers, is benefitting the nonprofit.
The sequel that also stars Kieran Culkin, George Newbern, Martin Short, and few special guests will debut tomorrow at 6 pm EST on Netflix and YouTube.
Those of us, who care about other people, wear masks. Steve Martin is one of them. However, the people, who care about him, cannot recognize him with the facial covering. That was causing the wild and crazy guy anxiety. Therefore, he came up with a solution. Now, his anxiety is gone and everyone knows who he is.
Gotta love him! He always finds a way to make us laugh. Even during a pandemic.

Before she was known as Cheryl Ladd on Charlie’s Angels, she went Cheryl Stoppelmoor when she was just 21 on The Ken Barry Wow Show. She was not alone because Steve Martin, 26, and Teri Garr, 24, shared the camera with her back in 1972. How cool is it to see them on the same show before they all became household names a few years later?
Two of the Three Amigos were on The Tonight Show yesterday and Jimmy Fallon tripped Martin Short. That caused him to fall in such a way he couldn’t stop rolling. Then when rolled by Steve Martin, he too fell and started to somersault uncontrollably. Was it worth it? Yes because the two Martins will have us rolling on the floor with laughter just like what they were doing.
Liev Schreiber’s first movie was Mixed Nuts and Steve Martin got to feel what was between his mixed nuts on day one of filming. Ray Donovan was excited for his first day of work, maybe a little too excited to work with Martin.
He showed up to work in jeans, thinking he was going to read lines. But when he got there, they told him he was going to rehearse the dance scene with his co-star. Thus, production instructed him to put on sweatpants. Which wouldn’t have been a problem had he not been wearing boxer shorts that caused him to have his pen!s box with Martin’s leg.
But I get ahead of myself. He told Conan O’Brien tonight, that when he got to rehearsal they wanted him to practice the Fox Trot. Then the actor explained to the TBS host, “I thought to myself, I sort of chuckled to myself, boy would this be inappropriate if I, you know, became aroused.” Well, then he added, “You know how when you want to become aroused it never works, but then when it is totally inappropriate…nothing could’ve been more inappropriate. So of course I get, probably the best I’ve ever had.”
What a way to greet someone who you haven’t even shaken hands with. Granted do you need to after that? Thankfully Martin wasn’t a Jerk and didn’t get him fired. Yet the two actors never worked together again. Much to the disappointment of Schreiber’s mixed nuts!
