On August 27th, Only Murders in the Building is going to be back on Hulu, but it is not going to be back in the building for part of it.
The first two seasons were based in the Arconia in Manhattan. For the third season, they traveled down the Great White Way to Broadway. And this season they are leaving the 212 and heading to Hollywood.
For season four, Charles, Oliver & Mabel (Steve Martin Short & Selena Gomez) wrestle with the shocking events at the end of season three surrounding Charles’ stunt double & friend Sazz Pataki. Questioning whether Sazz or Charles was the intended victim, our trio’s investigation leads them all the way to Los Angeles where a Hollywood studio is readying a film about the Only Murders podcast. As our amateur sleuths race back to New York, they embark on an even more epic journey – traversing their building’s courtyard to delve into the twisted lives of the Arconia’s West Tower residents.
I am trying to be optimistic, but I feel like the show has jumped the shark. Hopefully, I am wrong.
The good news is that Hulu picked up Only Murders in the Building for season 4. The bad news is not everyone will be back. Because the season 3 finale ended with a murder. Thus, the premise for next season of the show that stars Steve Martin Short and Selena Gomez.
And it is not a spoiler to tell you someone died because someone always dies at the end of the season. That is what keeps us coming back for more.
Steve Martin Short were going to bring their shenanigans to Las Vegas this weekend, but they had to postpone their shows.
The Wild and Crazy wrote, “Dear fans and enemies,
“Unfortunately, our sold-out shows at the Wynn in Las Vegas this Friday and Saturday has to be postponed because of rampant Covid in our crew and one other essential guy. We are sorry for any inconvenience, but we are moving to mid-December, where your tickets will be honored with an added ‘date-moving tax,’ of nine thousand dollars.”
Hopefully, “the essential guy” will be feeling better soon. He is a national treasure, even though he is Canadian, and needs to be around for a long time.
The curtain is going to go up on August 8th for the new season of Hulu’s Only Murders in the Building. And today, we got to see the star-studded trailer, which includes Meryl Streep, Paul Rudd, Matthew Broderick, Jesse Williams, and so many more, like the show’s leads, Selena Gomez and Steve Martin Short.
Maybe because it takes place in the theater and not the building, it looks like this season will be even more outlandish as they investigate the death of Paul Rudd.
Before Steve Martin was a staple on The Tonight Show, he had to make his debut on The Tonight Show starring Johnny Carson. How funny was the 28-year-old telling jokes to dogs in 1973?
