Tom Hanks was a guest on The Late Show yesterday and the two of them were talking about pouring Bailey’s Cream into a bowl of Lucky Charms. Then Stephen Colbert said that he had those ingredients handy. To which Forrest Gump responded, “How about you share that with your guest, a$$hole?” The way he said it, it is as beautiful as all the colorful marshmallows in the sugary cereal.
So how did they like the new breakfast of champions? So much so, I am off to buy some Lucky Charms and Bailey’s Cream to try it out for myself.
Rachel Bloom was on The Late Show yesterday and Stephen Colbert told her he doesn’t understand how musicals works. Even though he had a Christmas musical special on Comedy Central a few years ago. But I digress.
Then all of sudden, without warning, he broke into song and they did the rest of her interview in a musical format. Bringing a smile to all those who watched.
Almost as much as any boy who watched her sing Heavy Boobs on My Crazy Ex-Girlfriend on Monday’s episode.
On Tuesday night, when Helen Mirren walked out on to The Late Show, she gave Stephen Colbert a kiss on the lips that left him speechless. Yesterday, when Sally Field came out on to the CBS late night show, she did the same exact thing for a lot longer with a lot more intensity. Because of that the host couldn’t even stand up and fell to the floor. He then admitted that he had a crush on Gidget when he was kid and today it a whole lot bigger. Although, I am not sure he is talking about the crush. But I am sure by his reaction, he likes her, he really likes her.
Back to the Flying Nun, she admitted that she has kissed a lot of men throughout her career. Which one is she still thinking about? Paul Newman. Sounds like he was more than those beautiful blue eyes.
Dame Helen Mirren was on The Late Show yesterday. As soon as she walked out, she gave Stephen Colbert such a kiss on the lips that rendered him weak in the knees.
After they sat back down, she told him that she has been dreaming of doing that for 15 years and that his lips are soft. The CBS late night host happily responded with, “You know what you are doing. You really know what you are doing. Thank you so much for being here.”
He then declared that so many people will be jealous of him when they see this and she said, “Including me when I watch it.” Then she explained why when she said, “Oh, why didn’t I do more?” He had no choice to tell her the night was still young. And it was because at the end of the interview, they shared a kiss so tender that many of us will dream about getting one just like it tonight.
Mythbusters is ending its long run this weekend, but Adam Savage brought it back to the beginning on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. Back when the show started out, they tested out what would happen if you dropped a penny from the Empire State Building to see if would kill someone on the street.
They did this by shooting a penny at Savage’s butt with a special powerful gun. That was then, this is now. Savage wanted to do that experiment again and he did it on the CBS late night show yesterday. He gave Colbert the gun, pulled down pants and let him shoot him in the a$$. With glee the host did it, and Savage felt the pain.
He didn’t die, but I am sure when he goes to sit down, he will probably wish he did.
