Ever since it was announced that American Idol will be ending next season, everyone has been wondering if it’s biggest star will be back. Not Brian Dunkleman, but Simon Cowell. Well his ex-girlfriend, Terri Seymour, asked him just that for Extra and his answer is surprising. Almost surprising as the fact that he didn’t know it was ending.
When she asked him if he is sad about it, he said “I kind of said goodbye however many years ago.†So will he back, he told her, “I don’t really know, maybe I’ll flip the light switch off at the end or something.†I think that would be perfect.
So as of now Mariah Carey and the King of Mean are out, and I am sure some of the others like Nicki Minaj and Kara Dioguardi will also be missing from it next year. When it comes to who will be back, I am sure Paula Abdul, Randy Jackson, Ellen DeGeneres and Steven Tyler (as a performer) will be there before Simon is there to turn off the lights.
Are you going to miss Simon next year? Heck, we’ve all been missing him since he left.

On Friday, Simon Cowell became a first time father and now just two days later it looks like Eric has completely melted his dad’s ice cold heart. I guess we can say goodbye to the King of Mean now that he is a proud papa.
