Almost a year and a half ago, Peacock announced that they were working on a Ted animated series with Seth MacFarlane and Mark Wahlberg reprising their roles from the two movies. And then things went silent. But today, they shared a teaser, and I can’t wait to watch it.
Ted: The Animated Series picks up twelve years after the conclusion of the last movie, John (Wahlberg) and his thunder-buddy Ted (MacFarlane) are neighbors, both with families of their own and dead-end jobs. Follow these two lovable stoners as they enable each other’s bad ideas about marriage, parenting and the challenges of adult life.
The animated Ted premieres on December 17th. If it is anything as highlarious as the prequel that aired on the streamer, we are in for a really great time.
For decades, Family Guy has told jokes that are going to send the writers to Hell. But since Hell is full thanks to the Trump administration, the writers created a Halloween episode that will send Stewie and Brian to Hell.
The episode is described as: “Brian and Stewie find themselves in Hell – not an annoying day, the actual underworld – paying for 24 seasons’ worth of bad behavior. When they manage to annoy even the Devil himself, they end up in charge.
Having danced with any number of devils on ‘Succession,’ Kieran Culkin now gets to play the Devil himself.
Seth MacFarlane has created several beloved characters, like The Griffins from Family Guy and Ted, for people to enjoy. However, Jim Henson created characters that he loves.
So, next month he is releasing an album of covers from The Muppets. The 18-track album includes songs from The Muppet Show, Sesame Street, The Muppet Movie, The Great Muppet Caper, and The Muppets Take Manhattan.
It is the perfect gift for fans of both the Muppets and MacFarlane because they are the tunes we know, with his signature twist and deep, velvety voice.
Seth MacFarlane Sings The Muppets will be released by Verve on September 18th.
I never realized this until now, but Seth MacFarlane looks a lot like Peter Brady, I mean, The Brady Bunch’s Christopher Knight. So much so, I am wondering if that is the greatest prank the man of 1,000 voices has ever played on us. As in, he has been the middle Brady all along, and we never knew it.
But then again, how could that be if he wasn’t even alive when the family show was originally on the air? It can’t be. Because we just learned that they are two different people, thanks to two of them hanging out at the infamous house at the same time.
And I don’t think I have ever seen the Family Guy look happier than he does in this photo. You can tell this is a childhood dream come true. Hanging with a Brady at the Brady house. Heck, that is my dream too. I have hung out with the Bradys and been at their house, but never with one of them at the place within walking distance of where I live. How groovy would that be?
Stewie is such a beloved character that he is going to star in two shows on Fox starting in 2027. He is getting his own show, Stewie, but Family Guy fans need not worry; he will still want to kill his mom on Family Guy. Stewie (still voiced by Seth MacFarlane) will be on his own at school in his show, while he will be at home with his family on the OG.
According to Deadline, “In the offshoot, after getting the boot from his old preschool, Stewie is forced to enroll in a new one that’s not exactly top-of-the-line. It’s attended by a handful of kids he doesn’t know, and a 75-year-old class turtle with a half-cocked theory on just about every subject. Stewie’s miserable, the other kids are miserable, and even the turtle is miserable… until Stewie begins rolling out his trusty array of devices to take them anywhere in space and time, turning every boring day at school into an insane and surreal adventure.”
This is the second spinoff from the animated sitcom. The first one was The Cleveland Show, which lasted for four seasons.
The spinoff was picked up for two seasons. That will have it joining Family Guy, The Simpsons, Bob’s Burgers, and American Dad on Fox’s schedule until 2029. So it looks like our Sundays are set from now until then.
