Would Jerry Seinfeld do a Seinfeld revival?
June 6th, 2019 under Seinfeld. [ Comments: none ]

Back in the ’90s a show about nothing dominated the airwaves. Therefore, it would make sense in the time of revivals, that Seinfeld would come back to make up for its atrocious finale.

Last year, when Jerry Seinfeld was on Ellen, he told her it was “possible” it could come back. Yesterday, when Extra spoke to him, they wanted to see if that was the still case. The comedian, who drives around in cars with other comedians and gets coffee, told them, “I really don’t imagine that, I cannot imagine that.”

Now we know he does not want to play Jerry Seinfeld again, what about a George, Elaine and/or Newman spinoff (Kramer is still persona non grata in Hollywood)? He said, “Can’t imagine that… The characters are created by the writing staff. Without the writing staff, you don’t have that person.” However, writing staffs do change throughout the run of a show, so it is possible to live on without those original writers.

In short, Seinfeld is willing to let his legacy be that sh!tty ending. He could do one more season. The gang has not spoken to each other since they got out of jail. They are reunited at Kramer’s funeral (he died when he was sliding into a freshly waxed apartment, slid all the way through it, eventually out the open window and landed on a car with the license plate Manssiere) and it is like no time passed between them.

Do you want to see the show about nothing be something again?

Jason Alexander defends the Seinfeld finale
May 21st, 2019 under Seinfeld. [ Comments: 1 ]

Ever since the Game of Thrones’ final season premiered people have been talking about all the other awful series finales like Lost, Dexter, How I Met Your Mother and of course Seinfeld. Those are just five of the most disappointing series ending episodes.

Even though it has been 21 years since the show about nothing said goodbye, we are still pissed by how they ended it. Since GOT ended poorly on Sunday, there has been a lot of rehash about the terrible Seinfeld ending.

Today, Jason Alexander, who played George Costanza, defended it. He wrote, “To be clear, I adored the Seinfeld finale. I just keep getting crap about it from fans. I loved that Jerry [Seinfeld]/Larry [David] found an organic way to bring back all the amazing guests that enriched our show. It was an amazing week together filming it.”

While it might have been a dream to film, it was a nightmare to watch. Out of all of the finales, this one most needs a do-over. I remember the next morning I made a joke that Seinfeld ending was so bad, it killed Frank Sinatra. Just hours after it aired, it was announced that crooner passed away at 82.

Jerry Seinfeld pops Pop-Tarts and they bite back!
August 21st, 2018 under Seinfeld. [ Comments: none ]

Jerry Seinfeld did an interview with The NY Times and they asked him if he had to ever apologize for a joke. He told them, “Jokes are not real. People assume that when you say something that you believe it. It’s purely comedic invention.” Then he added, “You know, I do this whole bit about Pop-Tarts and how much I love them. I don’t love Pop-Tarts. It’s just funny. It’s funny to say it, so I say it.”

Well, people did not find his Pop-Tarts joke funny, so he had to apologize for his unfunny joke. He wrote, “Just to be clear on the Pop Tarts, I really did love them as a kid. Just not now. But regardless, whatever works for the joke, that’s what I’m going to say. @PopTartsUS.”

Well, the company fought back and said, “I used to like Jerry Seinfeld as a kid. Just not now.” Now that is funny. Seinfeld could learn a thing or two from them.

Let’s be honest, ever since his show ended, he has not been funny. And it is just not about the Pop-Tarts jokes.

Back in September, Julia Louis-Dreyfus shared with all of us that she has breast cancer. Since then she has received chemotherapy to fight it and today she announced that she had an operation. The Emmy winning actress posted the above absolutely gorgeous photo and said, “Hoorah! Great doctors, great results, feeling happy and ready to rock after surgery. Hey cancer, ‘Fuck you!’ Here’s my first post-op photo.”

Cancer might’ve thought it could win, but she is beating the battle and will win the war. You messed with wrong person cancer because she is going to defeat your puny little a$$!
