San Diego Comic-Con is already a memorable weekend as it is, but how would you like to make it unforgettable? Syfy is giving you the chance because they are asked Orlando Jones to get ordained so that he can perform pop-up nuptials throughout the weekend.
Think of the story you can tell your grandchildren on how you said your I dos? It could be like, “I was dressed as Luke Skywalker and she was Princess Leia, we were surrounded by other Cosplayers as the Dumbass from The Book of Love married us.” How special is that story? Make it happen and tell me all about it!

If you needed another reason to watch the sequel to Lavalantula, Syfy just gave us a huge one in this trailer for 2 Lava 2 Lantula. Michael Winslow aka The Man of 10,000 Sound Effects and Steve Guttenberg will be acting together again in it. That’s right, Larvell Jones and Carey Mahoney will once again suit up in their blue uniforms, almost a third of a century after they joined the Police Academy. You know it would be nice to see them with Hightower (Bubba Smith) and Tackleberry (David Graf) again, but their absence gives us something to look forward to in the third movie.
But before we get a third one, we have to watch the second telenmovie on August 6th. I know I will be tuning in to see the bigger, hotter and nastier spiders that spew lava!
Nick Carter is trying his hand at screenwriting tonight at 8p in the Syfy original movie Dead 7. It is a Zombie movie mixed in with the Old West and you throw in a whole bunch of ’90s Boy Banders. What do you get? The perfect mix of total awesomeness.
It has been several decades since the Zombie virus started in a copper mine, which is why they are called Copper Heads. It would be one thing if it was the Walking Alive vs the Walking Dead, but it is not. Apocolypta (Debra Wilson) wants to be leader of the human race and she has created a Zombie Army to kill anyone that stands in her way. Jack (Nick Carter) and his gang decide it is time to take her down, but that is easier said than done. They have come up with a plan to stop her, but at what cost? Will they make it out alive or deadish.
Dead 7 is wild ride where you can tell that everyone is having a blast. BSB’s AJ McLean and *NSYNC’s Joey Fatone are having the wildest time of them all. Wilson is extremely scary as Apocolypta, so much so you will never look at the MadTV actress the same way. O-Town’s Erik-Michael Estrada nails it as the Samurai Zombie Killer. And then there is Nick Carter, who has proven he has a career in more than singing. Now having said that, he better not say bye, bye, bye to the Backstreet Boys anytime soon.
Oh and there is blood, lots and lots of blood.
If you are looking for a rip roaring Zombie movie, then tune in to Dead 7 tonight. I promise you will think it is a hoot.
The first trailer is out for Nick Carter’s Dead 7 that debuts on April 1st (my birthday) and I think this a bigger joke than me. Only I can say that!
The Syfy movie is written and stars Carter, and it also includes a lot his friends from the ’90s. Those Boy Band members are Howie Dorough and AJ McLean from Backstreet Boys, Jeff Timmons from 98 Degrees, Joey Fatone and Chris Kirkpatrick from *NSYNC, Jacob Underwood, Trevor Penick, Erik-Michael Estrada and Dan Miller from O-Town, Delious Kennedy from All-4-One, Art Alexakis from Everclear, Tommy McCarthy from No Authority, Adam Griel from Frontstreet Boys and Jon Secada from his own Boy Band. Is this enough to turn these walking dead singers back into superstars? We will have to tune in on April Fool’s Day to find out. But since there hasn’t been a good Zombie movie since the ’90s, I think we can all guess the answer. Yes, I know that Zombieland and Warm Bodies came out since then, but I was trying to make a funny.
Tonight at 9p, Face Off turns 100 on Syfy. After nine seasons and 99 challenges, it is time to make the 100th one something that everyone will remember. What is more memorable than a wedding? Nothing, so that is the theme for tonight’s episode and we are getting not one, not two, but seven of them.
The show’s host McKenzie Westmore became ordained to marry them all and she told me, “It is the most memorable, most bizarre and coolest thing I’ve done in my life.” She took the responsibility seriously as she elaborated that “It was an honor for me to get to stand there and marry these couples.”
To see what the lucky seven couples looked like when they said, “I do,” you will just have to tune in to find out. You know because it is part of Face Off that these seven brides and grooms will be like none you’ve ever seen before.
