Collects Hollywood Treasure and Haunted Collectors tonight!
June 1st, 2011 under Syfy. [ Comments: none ]

Tonight at 9p Syfy will debut Haunted Collector and you are going to want to collect this show. John Zaffris and his team go into people’s houses and try to find out what objects are haunting their house. While most shows like this look for ghosts, this one looks for objects. It is really cool to watch them try to find out if a typewriter (the thing that people used before computers to tpye letters) or dolls are haunting the people that now own them. In the first case they find a box under the house, and what is in it will explain why the residents have been experiencing the paranormal at their house. I really enjoyed this take on haunted shows and I know you will too.
After this show make sure to stay on Syfy to watch Hollywood Treasures. If you are like me and love old Hollywood, you are going to love this show! Jim Manning is contacted by people who have iconic items from Hollywood history that for different reasons are ready to part with them and put them up for auction. So Jim goes in, assess their worth and puts them up for auction. It is not only interesting to see what people have, like the Wicked Witch’s hat from The Wizard of Oz or dolls from James and the Giant Peach, but to see what they go for. For me this show is so enjoyable to watch because how often do you get to see Hollywood History in the present day. It is just mind blowing to me to see all of these items out of the movies and in people’s houses. Plus it is crazy how much people will pay for them. So sit back and watch to see what treasures they find this season and how much they go for.

Mondays become Syfy’s Alpha night in July!!!
April 15th, 2011 under Syfy. [ Comments: none ]

Starting on July 11th, Mondays become Syfy’s new Alpha night. At 8p Eureka is back to finish its fourth season and they are still dealing with the repercussions of 1947.
Then at 9p Warehouse 13 returns for its third season and we will find out if Myka really left or will she back? I am hoping she is because the chemistry between her and Pete is a rare thing found on many shows today.
Finally at 10p Syfy will debut the new series Alphas that is about a team of ordinary citizens with extraordinary mental and physical abilities. They will solve the crimes that other established agencies won’t. Even though they are special, they will live normal lives and we will see them live it. Alphas is the perfect fit with the two long standing, well rated shows.
Then on Friday July 15th, Syfy ends the week with Haven. The series based on Stephen King book ended its first season with such cliffhangers, I can’t wait to see how it all plays out.
Seriously Syfy is going to make this summer cool with these four shows!

Eric Balfour’s facial hair explained!
March 31st, 2011 under Syfy. [ Comments: 1 ]

For years I have wondered why Eric Balfour has always had his goatee and never shaved it off. Well I am not the only one and today on Twitter he explained why he hasn’t changed his look.

My facial hair is in honor of my dead grandmother. She told me on her death bed the day I finally had more hair on my chin than hers, I was never aloud to shave again! ARE YOU INSULTING MY DEAD GRANNY?!!! SHE’S DEAD DUDE! Just kidding 🙂 Not about her being dead. She really is dead. So f*ck you for reminding me! Not about the f*ck you part, I never forgot my grandma was dead… Hahahahaha! “@nigel_howard: @ERICBALFOUR please shave the attempt at a beard / moustache combo. It’s not cool

It is just another reason to love him. How sweet that it’s in honor of his late grandmother.
BTW it’s not that I think he looks bad with the facial hair, I am just curious to see what he looks without it. Especially after I saw Tangled because I think he looks a lot like Flynn Rider. Doesn’t he?

Fact or Faked is back to investigate more Paranormal Files!
March 23rd, 2011 under Syfy. [ Comments: none ]

Fact or Faked: Paranormal Files is back to find out if some of the most popular unexplained pictures and videos are fact or faked. In tonight’s season premiere on Syfy at 10p they will try to find out if the picture that was the premise for the new movie Battle: Los Angeles can be explained or the cause of it will remain unknown. They will have fun with this one because as you can see in the clip, they got to play with a really big machine gun. They will also look to find out if a video of a possible ghost on the Queen Mary is the first real sighting of one caught on tape. Wait until you see what they find out for that and the first one tonight because it wil surprise you which one is which.
I really enjoy this show because it is really interesting the lengths they go to find out if something is Fact or Faked. They really impress me by show how something that really has now explanation can be explained.
