Saturday Night Live was back on our televisions yesterday, and Dr. Anthony Fauci got his dream casting. That is because Brad Pitt played him the cold open.
You know when Donald Trump finds this out, he is going to fire the medical expert due to jealously. Fauci gets a stud, and Trump got a bloated has-been dud. No offense to Alec Baldwin, but he hasn’t been a Brad Pitt since last century.
What I want to know is how this casting came about. On April 10th, Dr. Fauci told CNN’s New Day that he would prefer if Pitt played him. Thus, I want to know if Pitt called SNL or SNL called him. I am hoping for the former.
Saturday Night Live has been dark for several weeks because of Coronavirus, but this Saturday they are going live again from all over New York.
How they are going to do bits remotely, we don’t know. However, NBC says they will have Weekend Update as part of the show. I have a feeling we will shed a tear during that segment because Michael Che’s grandmother lost her battle to COVID-19.
When it comes to the host and the musical guest, they did not mention any names in the press release. I say they should have Lorne Michaels host and Kanye West sing. This way, as soon as Kanye starts, they can shut off his feed! I am sure a lot of people would love to do that to him on the show.
Pete Davidson sat down with Charlamagne tha Gd for about an hour, and he talked about rehab, his ex-girlfriends, being suicidal, and Saturday Night Live. When it comes to the latter, he hinted he is ready to move on. Not only that, he does not sound like a fan of most of his co-workers.
Davidson started off his comments on it by saying he thinks he should be done with the show because his co-stars make fun of him on it. He elaborated that he does not know if he is the joke or he is in on the joke.
When the comedian was asked if it feels like a family there, he had high praise for Lorne Michaels. Then he said it is “a cutthroat f^cking show.” He feels that everyone wants to get their sketch on the air, and will do anything to make it happen.
Davidson also thinks he has outgrown the sketch comedy show. It feels like it is time to move on. However, he will wait for Michaels to give him the old heave-ho.
It is not that he is ungrateful, he admits the show has made him a better comedian and writer.
When it comes to him leaving, I say it cannot happen soon enough. He just comes off as a huge a$$hole. I don’t get what all these women see in him. Whatever they do see in him, does not seem to last long.
Harry Styles is going to be on Saturday Night Live this Saturday and their social media team asked him to do a little something for them. As soon as he found out what they wanted, he ran away faster than Forrest Gump ran from those brats. Just not as forcefully as Tom Hanks did in that Oscar-winning movie.
The story of his running is what makes him beautiful to us.
Hopefully, Lorne Michaels will see this and just have a sketch where all the Kiwi singer does is run. I could watch him do that for 5 minutes straight. What about you?
Before Jennifer Aniston was Friends with five other people in NYC, Lorne Michaels wanted her to be friends with people from Saturday Night Live. Even though she was a struggling actress, who was in many cancelled shows, she thought she was too good to work on show with her friends Adam Sandler and David Spade.
She told Howard Stern on his radio show yesterday that she was thrown when Michaels asked to meet with her. She sees herself as a serious actress and not a comedian.
Not only that, she did not think it was the right enviorment for her. She felt that it was a boys club and told Michaels that the women needed to be treated better there.
Needless to say after that, she did not get the job and went on to do Friends. And since then she has played Rachel Green in every role that she has played.
BTW was I the only getting a major bitch vibe from her. Like I am this great actress and SNL is beneath me? It wasn’t beneath Robert Downey Jr, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Billy Crystal and many many others.
I get that careerwise it worked out for her, but SNL was still hot back in the early ’90s. She should be a little more respectful because look at how many people got their start on the show and are still doing well.
