BTWF: Ryan Seacrest singing Bon Jovi
September 18th, 2020 under Before They Were Famous, Ryan Seacrest. [ Comments: none ]

Before Ryan Seacrest was helping kids go from singing in their parents’ houses to the American Idol stage, he was one of those teens singing Bon Jovi’s I’d Die for You in his bedroom. Sorry Ryan, but after watching that performance, it is a good thing you became a host.

Live with Kelly and Ryan leave their homes to go home
August 26th, 2020 under Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos, Ryan Seacrest. [ Comments: 1 ]

Live with Kelly and Ryan was one of the first talk shows to resume production from their homes after NYC shut them down. Now, they will be the first daytime talk show to go back into the studio. On Labor Day, Ryan Seacrest and Kelly Ripa will be reunited in person, and it will feel so good.

Since a lot of their audience has been trapped at home, like the hosts, the show will be giving them tips on how to make their residences even better with themed weeks.

Week of Sept. 8: @Home Improvement Week – Painting, de-cluttering, DIY repairs, and more
Week of Sept. 14: Cooking School @Home – including cooking with herbs, knife skills and “Meat 101”
Week of Sept. 21: Money Savings @Home – topics such as early retirement, emergency savings and more bargains from Monica Mangin
Week of Sept. 28: @Home RX – from building a home first aid kit, to self-care, kitchen cures and more,

Along with all of that, they will also have celebrity guests like Josh Groban and Jimmy Kimmel.

Wait, there is more. If you have always wanted to dance on the show during one of the Live @ Home Trivia segments, but couldn’t make it to NYC, then you can do it now virtually. Talking about trivia, they will still be doing their daily trivia questions.

It will be like nothing has changed. Well, there won’t be an audience, nor will the guests be in the studio with them. OK, maybe a lot has changed.

Lionel Richie, Luke Bryan, Katy Perry, and Ryan Seacrest are still American Idols

ABC

Dancing with the Stars changed things up this season by eliminating Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews from the show for Tyra Banks. After that announcement, I wondered if ABC would do the same with American Idol. Today we found out the singing competition is keeping all of their talent around.

“Katy [Perry], Lionel [Richie] and Luke [Bryan] are fun, astute and really know how to spot talent,” said executive producer and showrunner Trish Kinane. “Their chemistry is undeniable, and we are delighted that they, along with host Ryan Seacrest, are returning to find the next superstar and take ‘American Idol’ to new heights next season.”

TBH the only judge who knew how to find talent, was Paula Abdul. After she left the Idol, they never had a huge artist again. Maybe they should change things up and find musicians who really have an eye for talent. What do you think?

BTW Since Perry is coming back, we have a new drinking game for this season. Every time she talks about her baby, take a sip from your baby bottle filled with alcohol. If she wears something ridiculous, then you have to finish the whole bottle by the end of that episode. Doesn’t that sound fun?

Ryan Seacrest’s shirt is too small
July 8th, 2020 under Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos, Ryan Seacrest. [ Comments: none ]

I think Ryan Seacrest has spent way too much time with Simon Cowell because he ordered a shirt that was too tight for him. He says he thought he got a small or a medium, but when it arrived, it turned out to be extra small.

When the host of Live with Kelly and Ryan tried to button it up, he had the same problem I have with button-ups. As in, you cannot button it up past the cleavage, so it bulges around the boobs. However, Kelly Ripa says it is “Mark Consuelos tight.”

Do you think it is a good look for him, or should he go back to wearing shirts that don’t show off his girlish figure?

Over 6,500 women have applied to be Matt James Bachelorette
June 18th, 2020 under Ryan Seacrest, The Bachelor. [ Comments: none ]

Robert Mills, Senior Vice President, Alternative Series, Specials & Late-Night Programming, ABC Entertainment, was on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show, On Air with Ryan Seacrest, today; and he was dishing about what we can expect from the upcoming seasons of The Bachelorette and The Bachelor.

They are hoping to resume filming of Claire Crowley’s season of The Bachelorette next month. Production was halted because of the coronavirus pandemic.

Due to COVID-19, there are going to be a lot of changes for the second part of her season. Everyone, who is selected, is going to have to get tested a week before filming begins and quarantined. They will not be shooting at the mansion. Instead, they will be doing it at a resort. Since everyone will have to be negative for the virus, they will be able to go on dates at that location and, more importantly, KISS. You can’t have a dating show without kissing!

We don’t know if Matt James, the first Black Bachelor, will rejoin the season already in progress. What we do know is that Crowley knew about his new status a day before we all found out.

When it comes to James, over 6,500 women are hoping to be part of his season. As of now, they are hoping to start filming in September at the mansion. If things are still not normal by then (they won’t be), then they will probably go to a resort too.

Personally, I like the idea of them at a resort instead of at a mansion. ABC prefers the latter because it is a lot cheaper.

What do you think of it being at resorts? Maybe one season they can do at a summer camp and another one on a cruise ship. Give us some variety!
