May 13th, 2013 under Rod Stewart. [ Comments: none ]

Rod Stewart has had people been questioning his sexuality ever since he first started singing and today he told a story on The Howard Stern that will not be helping his case. One time when he was in Australia, he saw a beautiful woman at a bar. So he asked all the guys why they weren’t make a move on her and he says they told him because “we left her for you.” So he decided to hook up with her; and when he has hand went down under, he found out she was a he. I wonder if he wrote Some Guys Have All the Luck for that one night stand?

Rod Stewart described his safari with Elton John as ‘so gay!’
May 7th, 2013 under Jimmy Kimmel, Rod Stewart. [ Comments: none ]

Rod Stewart and Elton John have been mates for around 40 years and when they were younger they went on a safari together. Well Jimmy Kimmel had heard about their trip, so he asked the sexy singer about it. Rod said, “It was really gay….So gay!” Of course Jimmy had to know what that meant, for obvious reasons. Stewart then told the audience, “Wait for it…” Then he said “We were in Kenya and we used to dress up and eat outdoors. But what we did is we dressed up in bow ties and jewelry every night for dinner every night.” Not the answer we were hoping for, but still a fun image for the two back in the day when they were young and not forever young.
Then Stewart elaborated, “We’d go around, study droppings. We were calling each other poopologists because we knew all the poo, whether it was a giraffe, an elephant. It was fun!” Sounds like there trip was anything but, what they were studying.
Did you know that the two of them have nicknames for each other? Rod is Phylis and Elton is Sharon. He did not explain how they got the nicknames, which is a bummer because I am sure it is a good story!
I guess this is the stuff the two of them write songs about and we pay to see them sing them live!

Did Rod Stewart sing that song Jimmy Fallon wrote for him?
October 25th, 2012 under Jimmy Fallon, Rod Stewart. [ Comments: none ]

A few weeks ago Jimmy Fallon wrote a song that he thought would be perfect for Rod Stewart and the NBC host made a viral video asking the crooner if he would sing it with him on Late Night when he was guest on the show. Well the ageless singer was on the show last night and he did the duet with Fallon. Once you hear Rod’s velvety voice on the tune, you realize that Dancin’ With You All Night Long is perfect for him. I just wish we would have heard Stewart sing a verse or two of it instead of just back up vocals.

I guess you can say Rod Stewart thinks Conan O’Brien is sexy
December 4th, 2009 under Conan O'Brien, Rod Stewart. [ Comments: 2 ]

So Rod Stewart was on NBC’s The Tonight Show and he was talking to Conan O’Brien about Polaroids he took of groupies back in the day and for some reason he rubbed his hand up and down Conan’s thigh all the way up to his carrot stick. You have to watch the video to see Conan’s reaction, but as you can see he never recovered. I wonder why Rod did that, did he think Conan was singing Da Ya I’m Sexy to him?
Before Rod Stewart talked about his nickname The Polaroid Kid he talked about his nicknames for Elton John and Sting and they are pretty interesting. Conan and Rod also talked about how he keeps his hair looking Forever Young.
