Rita Moreno was on The Talk yesterday, and she told a story that was better suited for Soap Operas than a talk show.
The legendary actress started her story by telling the hosts that Jane Fonda, 84, asked her how she feels about sex. Moreno told her co-star, “Oh! Forget about it.”
However, a few days later, when they were filming a scene for Eighty For Brady in a locker room, her pheromones went off. Actually, she didn’t say it as much as she showed us how excited she was to see Julian Edleman in his towel.
And once that scene was done, the Oscar winner told Fonda to ask her that question again.
Moreno might be 90, but I don’t think any man in the locker would come away after a tryst with her able to walk right. After all, she has been with Elvis Presley and Marlon Brando, and those boys don’t have anything on them.
If I make it to 90, I want to be as vivacious as her! And, I don’t believe she is a nonagenarian! Do you?
Rita Moreno turned the big 9-0 on December 11th, and she wants us to know she is old AF. While her birth certificate says that she is 90, nothing else about her does. She is as old as her spirit, which is the same age she was when she starred in West Side Story the first time around in 1961.
Rita Moreno has had a legendary career. So legendary, she is one of the few people that is a member of the EGOT club. That means she has won an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony. Which is enough to make us bow down to her.
However, there is more, she also had affairs with two legendary men Marlon Brando and Elvis Presley. The other night when she was on Watch What Happens Live, Andy Cohen wanted to know which sexy man a better kisser?
The actress had no problem admitting that Brando was Godfather of kissing. She reminisced that “He had ins and outs and nooks and crannies that were just incredible. Oh, what a kisser. What a kisser!”
When it comes to The King, she says he was very pretty, “very complete (?) and very boring.” Boring was probably a good thing as compared to Brando.
If Cohen would have asked her who was better with his hips, then I am sure Elvis would have been the reigning King on that one!
Even though One Day at a Time was a fan favorite on Netflix, the streaming service decided to cancel it. In an unprecedented move, Pop TV picked it up for a fourth season. Tonight at 9:30p, our favorite Cuban family, after the Estefans, are back!
The episode starts off with a Netflix joke, and then there is a knock on the door. It is Ray Romano as a census taker who learns all about their family. More information than he wanted to know and the perfect amount for the newbies.
After he leaves, Penelope (Justina Machado) decides she wants to start dating again after her break up with Max. Will any of the fish in the sea bite?
Next week, the Alvarezes are going to get a new couch with the help of Schneider (Todd Grinnell). While he and Penelope are out shopping, Elana (Isabella Gomez) is driving everyone including her grandmother (Rita Moreno) who has crabs.
In two weeks, Alex (Marcel Ruiz) walks in on his mother having a party of one. This episode is the funniest episode of television I have seen all year and I watch a lot of comedies.
Tune in ODAAT tonight and every Tuesday at 9:30p, so we can show Netflix what a mistake they made.
Fans and critics are obsessed with the reboot of One Day at a Time on Netflix, but there were just not enough people who were watching the sitcom that stars Justina Machado and EGOT winner Rita Moreno as a mother and daughter who are trying to make it one day at a time.
That is why today, the streaming service announced, “We’ve made the very difficult decision not to renew One Day At A Time for a fourth season. The choice did not come easily — we spent several weeks trying to find a way to make another season work but in the end simply not enough people watched to justify another season.”
Executive Producers, Mike Royce and Gloria Calderón Kellett, responded to cancellation with a message for their small loyal viewers. They wrote, “Last night, Netflix told us they are cancelling One Day at a Time.
“We had the time of our lives making this show. We worked with the
best, most giving and talented cast, writers and crew ever, as well as
the incomparable Norman Lear. So while our hearts are very heavy
they are also bursting with appreciation for this amazing experience.
And for all of you. All of you who told us how much One Day at a
Time means to you. We’ve worked on many shows, but never have
we experienced the outpouring of love, connection, and support like
we have with ODAAT
“Along with our studio Sony, we will be exploring other places One
Day at a Time can live, and with any luck we’ll find one. Either way
our three seasons will always exist and be there for you and for us.
In the meantime we want to thank everybody who watched.”
Since Netflix is the goto home for cancelled shows like Lucifer and Designated Survivor, it will be interesting to see if they can find someone to save the show that was killed by Netflix.
The news is not a surprise because Calderón Kellett tweeted a month ago that the show was in trouble and asked the fans to rally for the show. Which they did. Sadly it was just not enough. What is not enough for Netflix will hopefully be enough for someone else.
