Listen to Rick Astley turn Never Gonna Give You Up into a Rock song
May 26th, 2021 under Foo Fighters, Rick Astley. [ Comments: none ]

Anyone who has been Rick Rolled can tell you that Never Going to Give You Up is a Pop song. Right?

Well, what if Rick Astley took his song and did it to Nirvana’s arrangement for Smells Like Teen Spirit. You see, Dave Grohl said that both arrangements are the same.

The other night the singer from Foo Fighters was on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon, and they played a game. The two of them had to guess what song The Roots were playing. Sounds easy, but they changed up the songs, so they were harder to identify.

Astley was playing on the internets and saw this bit, so it inspired him. Therefore, he took out his guitar and changed up the song we all know so well to make it edgier. Someone send this video to a record producer because I need to have it on my playlist now, now, now. It would be the best, the best, the best, the best, the best, the best, the best, the best.

The Voice is back for its 20th season on March 1st, and these coaches have been together forever. So much so, Blake Shelton, Kelly Clarkson, John Legend, and Nick Jonas are singing Rick Astley’s Never Going to Give You Up as a group.

One thing they will all give up is the shoulder pads they wore for the music video. Shelton looks like Herman Munster in that suit. He even moves like Fred Gwynn did in the sitcom.

Rick Astley wants you to Rick Roll Google by humming!
December 28th, 2020 under Rick Astley. [ Comments: none ]

Have you ever found yourself humming a song, but you couldn’t remember anything else about it but the melody? Well, there is a Google search for that.

That’s right. All you have to do is go to the Google app on your phone, tap on the microphone, click on Search a Song, and then start humming. Not only will it tell you what song you are humming and who sang it, but it will also tell you how good of a job you did mimicking it.

This feature is getting so popular that Billboard gave its own chart. Rick Astley’s Never Gonna Give You Up is #2 on Google’s Top Hummed Songs of 2020. How did he do when he hummed his own song? He got an 87% on accuracy. Therefore, he wants to see if you can beat him. I got a 47%, so I have moved on. So much so, I just spent the last 8 hours humming into my phone. It is so bad that the hummingbirds flew away.

Since there is nothing else going on, and we need a break from social media. Why not spend your day humming into your phone and see how well of a hummer you are. I promise you will be as hooked as I am.

As if 2020 needed a timewaster, but it turns out we can never have enough. I guess you can say we are never gonna give you up, wasting time.

Rick Astley Rickrolls us with a joyful Christmas tune!
November 30th, 2020 under Christmas Music, Rick Astley. [ Comments: none ]

Let’s be honest, 2020 has sucked balls. And I am not talking cheese balls type of suck, worse than that. I don’t know what that means either.

Anyways, Rick Astley was going for a walk with his wife, Lene Bausager, and he decided that we needed a happy song to end the year. Therefore, he went into his studio, wrote a few songs, and finally decided to record Love This Christmas. Today, he released the holiday tune that we are going to sing this year and for many more to come. That is if we can make it to 2021.

How can you listen to this single and not feel the spirit of the season take over you? I am ready to decorate the house with tinsel, colorful lights, and mistletoe that won’t see any action again this year.

Seriously, Astley is like the feeling you get on Christmas morning when you go to the tree to open up all of your presents. He is pure joy. Now, we can box that feeling up with this happy melody.

Is Post Malone’s song Better Now because it got RickRolled?
August 28th, 2020 under Rick Astley. [ Comments: none ]

Rick Astley decided to cover Post Malone’s Better Now, and the Never Going to Give You Up singer gave it his own flare. The song no longer sounds like something Drake recorded. Now, it sounds like something you would hear at an outdoor show, mid-concert with the stars above you and the breeze cooling you off.

Do you think it sounds better now, better now?
