Is Hollywood Hillbillies’ Mikey Kittrell’s Gingerbread video sweet or stale? |
September 3rd, 2014 under Reelz. [ Comments: none ]

Yesterday on Reelz’s Hollywood Hillbillies, Mikey Kittrell’s music video for his song Gingerbread debuted, and it is original. Which is a nice way of saying beyond wacky.
While I like the song and the parts with his family, the rest of it is just weird. Especially when the pregnant woman gives birth to a gingerbread cookie. Why? And that was only one of the many bizarre things that happened in it. Did I mention that Courtney Stodden is in it too?
So sit back, watch it, and tell me what you think? Here’s a warning, the chorus will totally get stuck in your head like a moist gingerbread cookie will in your mouth.

April’s last day before chemo on Chasing Life, don’t Passover Hollywood Hillbiilies |
August 5th, 2014 under Italia Ricci and Robbie Amell, Reelz. [ Comments: none ]
|
It is April’s (Italia Ricci) final few hours before she enters the hospital for a month long stay so she can get chemo and she wants to live life as normal as possible before then. However, when someone at works finds out her secret on tonight’s Chasing Life at 9p on ABC Family, they spread her diagnosis faster than you can say, “breaking news”.
April and Beth (Aisha Dee) go to Bruce Hendrie’s (Todd Waring) debate for Governor so that she can speak to Leo (Scott Michael Foster) about their “night” together, but he is already talking to the other press people. When Leo starts talking gibberish, it is obvious something is very wrong. Therefore, they decide that he needs to go to the hospital to be checked out.
Beth is in the auditorium while April is in the pressroom at the time. When Beth hears the ambulance, she assumes it was for April. When she finds out it isn’t, she runs into the bathroom and breaks down. One of April’s co-workers comforts her as she tells her how scared she is for her best friend. This speech will make you go through a box of tissues because it is that heartbreaking.
Beth didn’t know that the person she was crying to is April’s co-worker. When that person realizes it is April her bathroom buddy is talking about, they tell everyone at The Boston Post about her leukemia. Now, April’s normal day is anything but. Instead of letting it get to her, she writes an article that will break your heart. An article they read at the end of the episode.
But before we get to that, April goes to visit Leo at the hospital. When she’s done she runs into her doctor. The doctor shows her where she will be staying for the next month and reality has finally set in for her.
Another reality that sets in for her is that she might lose her hair to the chemo. Beth shows her what she will look like bald to prepare her if that happens.
Then it is time for April to go to her home away from home for the next month. As she leaves, the show reveals something that will make you wish you could watch next week’s episode right away. Although you will probably want some time off for your eyes to dry because there will be a lot of crying during tonight’s extremely poignant episode.
Chasing Life is proving to be one of the most powerful shows on television. Not only because it is about cancer, but because of the way they are handling it. So, if you’ve never seen the show, then you’ll want to catch up on the episodes you’ve missed on the Watch ABCFamily app and/or ABC Family OnDemand. First make sure you have enough tissues to get through it because you will need them.
If you are like me, then you are desperately going to need a laugh after Chasing Life. You will get several laughs during the season premiere of Hollywood Hillbillies on Reelz at 9p tonight.
The lease was up on the house that Mema, Michael, John and Dee Dee were staying at, so they’ve been staying in a crappy motel for the last month. None of them are happy about it, but what can they do.
Especially since Michael’s manager, David Weintraub, has been away for the last month touring with Ray-J. Now he is back and Ray-J has signed Michael on for his label, it’s time for a meeting. Ray-J might reconsider singing the ginger after he meets Mema. She actually tells him at the meeting that she watched his infamous sex tape with YKW. That’s why we adore because she will tell anyone whatever is on her mind at that moment.
Meanwhile, Weintraub will regret taking a call during their meeting because his parents invite Mema and her family over to their house for Passover. It is as crazy as you’d think it is going to be. Oy!
However, it works out because they find a place to stay. That house is will look familiar to you because we’ve seen it on another reality show. Think you can guess which one? You will just have to tune into find out.
I am so happy Mema is back on Reelz because I’ve missed her mouth so much!

Tonight at 12:30a on Reelz! Charlene Tilton & Mayim Bialik are Totally Tracked Down by Marshall Jay Kaplan.
At 12:30a Kaplan flies to LA to find Blossom and he talks to Don Reo, the creator of the show. When he can’t help him, he goes to UCLA where she studied and talks to a teacher and the Rabbi at Hillel. The Rabbi sends him to her parents and when he talks to them, a surprise guest shows up. He finally meets Mayim but she only has a few seconds to talk to him. So they make a date and back in 2010, he finds out that she wants to get back into acting. So he researches to see if it is a possibility and he finds out that it will be hard for a former-child star. As we know, it was not for her. So tune in to see what that agent says and what all the other people had to say about Mayim Bialik!
Then at 1a, it is time for Kaplan to try to find Charlene Tilton from Dallas. First he talks to Dallas producer and writer, David Jacobs. When he can’t help him, he goes to her TV husband, Leigh McCloskey, but he too cannot help him, so he refers him to Charlene’s real daughter. Cherish Lee, reveals some things about her mother that happened after the show ended and you don’t want to miss that. Eventually he meets up with Tilton at an Oscar party and meets one of her Dallas co-stars. Can you guess who? Since their time is short there, Tilton agrees to meet at a later date and he has an instant connection with his childhood crush. How instant, you just have to tune in.
Then at 9p over at Lifetime, Little Women LA, makes its big debut. The reality show follows 6 female friends who are under 5′. These little women are just like us. When they get together they have fun and they also fight.
Briana is recently divorced and she is ready to date again. And what better second date can a girl have but at her divorce party. Christy on the other hand is in a serious relationship, and she is ready to get engaged but he is not. Her boyfriend, Todd, also dated Briana, and that will lead to some conflict between the two ladies, Christy, also has problems with the very religious Traci. Traci is recently engaged, but has yet to set a date. She can’t stand Christy’s wilder ways. Terra is the peacemaker in the group. Well with everyone except Elena, who is the youngest and tallest one in the group. Her problem with Terra is she let’s herself be described as the M word, and that is a bad word to the ladies. Finally there is Tonya, and she has a normal sized older daughter who is her best friend. Well besides the five other ladies.
What these 6 women are missing in inches, they make up with big personalities. So tune in for a show that people of all sizes can enjoy.

Joan Van Ark and Christopher Knight are Totally Tracked Down tonight! |
May 20th, 2014 under Reelz, The Brady Bunch. [ Comments: none ]
|
Tonight at 12m on Reelz Channel’s Totally Tracked Down, Marshall Jay Kaplan tracks down The Brady Bunch’s Christopher Knight and Knots Landing’s Joan Van Ark at 12:30a.
Kaplan is a Canadian journalist who loves pop culture and TV shows from his childhood. In each episode he will try to track down his favorite celebrities through their friends, family and employees. By talking to all of them, we find out more about the actor he is looking for, including things you never knew about them.
On tonight’s episode we find out about Peter Brady’s not-so-Brady family life as a kid from his older brother, what his co-star Barry Williams thinks about him and how far his ex-wife Adrienne Curry will go to entertain Marshall. Then finally Marshall gets to meet the middle Brady son and it is everything he hoped for.
On tonight’s second episode, Marshall goes the cul de sac where they filmed Knots Landing and he talks to the woman who lives in Val Ewing’s house now. When she has no information on where Ark is now, he moves on to her assistant, hairdresser, co-star Michelle Lee and her husband. Of course the last one leads him to his favorite diva and he chases after her, literally. That’s because she is going for a run in the Hollywood Hills. She agrees to talk to him, only if he goes for a run with her. But that is not an easy way to talk to someone, so she invites him to her house and he gets to chat with her in her bed. A total dream come true for him. Although she kind of kills the mood when she reveals what makes her marriage works. You will want to tune in to hear that. That and to get to know your favorite celebrities like you have never known them before. And you also get to find out where they are now and what they are doing.
I love where are they now shows and this one is really entertaining because it is unlike any show that came before it.

Maybe Let It Go doesn’t work for every movie… |
March 13th, 2014 under Reelz. [ Comments: none ]

Earlier this week I posted a video showing how Let It Go can work in a lot of movies and today Reelz! proved me wrong. They took the song from Frozen and added it to a climatic scene from Jaws. In some ways it is so right, but in many more ways it is so wrong.
Since it is a slow day and this made me laugh, I felt the need to share it with all of you.
Don’t forget Frozen is out on Blu-ray combo pack this Tuesday.
