The Inglourious Basterds do Hollywood!!!
August 11th, 2009 under Brangelina, Eli Roth, Quentin Tarantino. [ Comments: 2 ]

The cast of Inglourious Basterds took over Hollywood Blvd for their big premiere of The Weinstein Company movie and boy did they look glourious!!! Quentin Tarantino and his Basterds Brad Pitt, Christoph Waltz, Melanie Laurent, Diane Kruger, Eli Roth, BJ Novak, Omar Doom and Michael Fassenbender all worked the blood colored carpet last night!
I just love those pictures of Brad Pitt and Angelina Joilie looking so in love, seriously they are the sweetest couple in Hollywood. Another thing I adored from the carpet is that even though Cloris Leachman was cut from the movie, she still came out to the premiere and was greeted by QT!!!
Inglourious Basterds is out on August 21st and after seeing the WWII epic on Saturday, all I can say is "Holy f*cking sh!t wow! I so loved this movie!!!" Seriously I think this is Quentin Tarantino's best work to date and I can totally see why Christoph Waltz won the acting honor at Cannes because his performance will blow you away! Next week I will write a much much longer review of the phenomenal movie and post interviews with Michael Fassenbender, Eli Roth, Diane Kruger, Melanie Laurent, Christoph Waltz and BJ Novak! So cancel whatever you planned from next Friday, cancel it and go see Inglourious Basterds. It's the movie everyone will be talking about for months to and you don't want to miss out on the conversation about this movie that changes history!
But before then I will leave you with one quote from Christoph Waltz, when I asked him about him how he is dealing with all the international interest in him he told us, "I said this after Cannes. Ten flashbulbs bother you; 10,000 are fantastic!" By the look of his face below from last night's premiere you can tell he had a fantastic time!!!

Quentin Tarantino speaks the truth!!!
August 8th, 2009 under Jimmy Kimmel, Quentin Tarantino. [ Comments: none ]

Last Quentin Tarantino was on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and he stayed and sat next to Rachel Nichols, who was there to promote her new movie GI Joe. Well Jimmy Kimmel asked if it was true that when she auditioned that she read from another script because there was a shroud of secrecy around the movie. And when she said yes, Kimmel is like Quentin shares his scripts with everyone and he said, “I’m proud of my scripts!” As we know he is because the script to Inglourious Basterds has been online since before anyone was officially cast in the movie. Now back to his comments so f*cking funny true! People have been loving IB and the same can’t be said about GI Joe.
BTW the person I am going to see Inglourious Basterds with is going to see GI Joe beforehand, so I will ask if QT really nailed it with what he said…which I’m sure he did.
Oh here is QT telling his side of the story how he cast Brad Pitt in his movie that is out on August 21st. He also talked about being honored earlier in the day with his own figure, the only only director to have one at Madame Tussads in Hollywood!

I so want to go to Quentin Tarantino’s house!!!
August 3rd, 2009 under Quentin Tarantino. [ Comments: none ]

(photo from Wired)
Before Quentin Tarantino was an Oscar winner, he worked at a video store called Manhattan Beach Video Archives. The Inglourious Basterds writer/director tells the AAP that when they went out of business he bought their inventory and added it to his own massive collection.

"I've got a big, big library – I actually never count my collections because I'm almost afraid to know the figure," he said.

"I literally have two different rooms in my house, that are like a video store, in fact they're like my old video store, they're even on the same shelves that were at Video Archives.

"I've never gotten rid of them, it would be sacrilege to get rid of them."

Seriously after reading this I so want to go to his house and check out what movies he has. It sounds like he has rarities that are not available on DVD or anywhere else and would be so much fun to see the films that he owns that you can't see anywhere else. I think for me I would totally be like a kid in candy store playing in those two rooms!!! Wouldn't you be?

BTW don't forget his WWII epic Inglourious Basterds is coming out on August 21st, a movie I know I will be adding to my collection!!!

UPDATE: Here is the latest TV spot for Inglourious Basterds and with each promo I see it makes me want to see the movie more and more!!!

Where are the Inglourious Basterds when you need them?
July 29th, 2009 under Quentin Tarantino, Roseanne. [ Comments: none ]

Roseanne Barr dressed up as Hitler for Heeb Magazine and since the Inglourious Basterds are all about killing Hitler, I want to know where they are when we really need them???
BTW warning to them and anyone else who tries to mess with Roseanne's cookies, seriously don't do it because she becomes a Cookie Monster. Last week Tom Arnold told Jimmy Kimmel that one time when his ex-wife and him were dieting and he smashed her cookies and then he claims that she took out a butcher knife and stabbed him in the chest. So if she dressed as Hitler and you do that, I pity the fool who tries to come in between Roseanne and her cookies.
Side note to connect this short post even more, next week two of the Basterds will be on ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live! at 12:05a, you can watch Eli Roth on Wednesday (8/5) and Quentin Tarantino on Friday (8/7).
