Seriously that looks more like a Glamour Shots or a Graduation photo then it does a mugshot. Granted she also showed up to jail in her MTV Movie Awards' dress, so why did I expect anything better. So sad.

Paris Hilton's lawyer Richard A Hutton announced that Paris has turned herself in and has started serving her time in jail. She issued the floowing statement:
"I am ready to face the consequences of violating probation. During the past few weeks I have had a lot of time to think and have come to realize I made some mistakes," stated Paris Hilton. "This is an important point in my life and I need to take responsibility for my actions. In the future, I plan on taking more of an active role in the decisions I make. I want to thank my family, friends and fans for their continued support. Although I am scared, I am ready to begin my jail sentence."
Paris being Paris went to the MTV Movie Awards before going over to her parents house and then to turn herself into jail. TMZ chronicled Paris's last few minutes of freedom, "It didn't go down at the jail. Paris' mega-lawyer, Richard Hutton, picked her up at her parents' house at 10:30 PM. Hilton, Hutton, mom Kathy and sister Nicky then drove to the Men's Central Jail in downtown Los Angeles — commonly referred to as the Twin Towers — where Paris officially surrendered to the L.A. County Sheriff to begin her 23-day sentence. The Sheriff devised the plan of surrendering miles away from the actual where Paris will be doing time because the crush of paparazzi at the jail created a potential safety hazard. Paris was then driven to the jail in Lynwood where she is now serving her sentence." TMZ also has video video of her leaving her parents' house.
You have to give her credit for going out in style by going to the MTV Movie Awards. I seriously thought she was going to wait until 11:59p on June 5th. I wonder will her sentence start on June 2nd or June 3rd? Because isn't that like cheating a day by checking in at 10:30p?
I wonder will jail change Paris Hilton's attitude about life and make her less superficial about things?

Sheriff Lee Baca said that Paris Hilton will not be allowed to do TV interviews while she is in jail. In fact they are going through aggressive steps to bar cameras from being smuggled in to the jail according to AP. Baca said, "Paying a debt to society should not be an element of her celebrity. Her occupation is publicity, but no one should profit in jail." He also said we won't get the money shots of her "seen in handcuffs … or in the back of a police car, forlorn and in handcuffs." Even though he is giving her that special treatment on the outside she won't be getting it on the inside he added she will "experience her incarceration as all other women will experience it. She won't get better food, she won't get different lockup time or a different environment." Baca also said she has not been assigned a cellmate as previously reported.

The people behind UB40’s Kingston Town are suing Paris Hilton’s record label saying her song Stars are Blind sounds a lot like their’s. They have brought a £250,000 lawsuit ito the High Court in London, claiming breach of copyright over the song according to Daily Mail. What took them so long to realize that the songs sounded alike? I never really noticed it until I listened to both songs together, but then again I am not of fan of UB40. I prefer Paris’s song! Below are the songs what do you think?
