School Spirits gets a sophomore season
June 20th, 2023 under Paramount+. [ Comments: none ]

School Spirits is the sleeper hit on Paramount+. Therefore, it makes sense they would give the show a second season.

Especially after that season finale that changed everything up. But I won’t spoil it for you. And now that you know it will be back for a second season, why don’t you check it out if you didn’t watch it yet?

Why do you want to check it out? Maddie (Peyton List) wakes up at her school, but no one can see or hear her because she is dead. Well, not everyone. There are other spirits who died there, and they are trapped there alongside her. The difference is they know how they died. She doesn’t. Now, she is trying to figure out how she died and where her body is.

When she finds out what happened to her, everything changes. And that is why fans of the show are relieved we will get more because they couldn’t leave us hanging like that. It was that good of a cliffhanger.

Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies had its Beauty School Dropout moment!
May 29th, 2023 under Paramount+. [ Comments: none ]

Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies is the prequel to the musical we didn’t know we needed. And it is just what we wanted.

During the last Thursday’s episode, we had a moment that reminded us of a scene from the original play. And we got the best musical number of the series so far.

Nancy (Tricia Fukuhara) is upset that the Pink Ladies broke up, and she wants to get them back together. However, when she confronts them, she makes things even worse.

So, she decides she is going to drop out of high school and move to NYC to pursue her dream of being a fashion designer.

And that is when she gets a vision from the Angel of Fashion who gives her some Brutal Honesty.

Will it be enough to get her to stay at Rydell? You will just have to watch the series on Paramount+ to find out. What else are you watching? Everything you were watching has ended, so it is time to pick up something new. And something that is so enjoyable with fantastic musical numbers.

Just like the one above! That is just a glimpse of the excellence you have been missing out on.

Fun fact: Justin Tranter, who played the Angel of Fashion, is also the music composer for the series.

Paramount+ really likes The Family Stallone
May 24th, 2023 under Paramount+, Sylvester Stallone. [ Comments: none ]

The Family Stallone, a behind-the-scenes look into Sylvester Stallone, his wife Jennifer Flavin Stallone, and daughters Sophia, Sistine, and Scarlet, debuted a week ago on Paramount+, and they already picked it up for a second season.

The news is no surprise because, in just one week, it became the streaming service’s #1 reality show premiere. And I am sure it will continue to grow.

I mean, Stallone has been a knockout since Rocky. Oh, wait, he wasn’t knocked out in that film. But you know what I was going for.

In case you missed last week’s premiere, you can watch it now, along with the second episode.

Yellowstone is ending with season 5, but…
May 5th, 2023 under Paramount+. [ Comments: none ]

For months there have been rumors that Kevin Costner wanted out of Yellowstone so that he could be a “movie star” again. Well, today, he got his wish because Paramount Network announced that they are ending the show with the one-note actor.

But the news isn’t all bad. Deadline says Paramount Network greenlit a sequel and Matthew McConaughey along with some of the Yellowstone cast members are expected to star in it.

“The Dutton story continues, picking up where Yellowstone leaves off in another epic tale. We are thrilled to bring this new journey to audiences around the world,” added David Glasser, CEO, 101 Studios.

The final episodes of Yellowstone will air starting in November. And just like Costner’s wife, we will be done with him. Too soon?

It’s election time on Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies, Animal Patrol gets crabs, and Ghosts love problems
April 27th, 2023 under Ghosts, Joel McHale, Paramount+. [ Comments: none ]

Eduardo Araquel/Paramount+

It is on Halloween on Paramount+’s Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies. And the Pink Ladies are ready to celebrate. That is because Nancy (Tricia Fukuhara) made them costumes. Since she wants to be a fashion designer, they are totally swell.

Talking about playing dress-up, Cynthia (Ari Notartomaso) is having a hard time rehearsing for Juliet in Romeo and Juliet. So the drama teacher assigns her a partner to work with her. However, neither one of them want to work together. So what happens when they do?

Then it is time for the very anticipated election between Jane (Marisa Davila) and Buddy (Jason Schmidt). And no one is happier about it than Assistant Principal McGee (Jackie Hoffman), and she is going to sing about it. I so hope this is not the last song we hear from her.

When the episode ends, we will know who won the election. So who do you think is going to be the new President of Rydell?

I know who has my vote, Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies, because I love this show.

Bettina Strauss/FOX.

At 9p on Fox’s Animal Control, a crab takes out on the of the officers. You have to see how because you wouldn’t believe it if you didn’t see it. And each incident on this fictional show is based on real-life occurrences. They aren’t. I think?

Frank (Joel McHale) and Shred (Michael Rowland) are called out to rescue a fox at a skate park. The fox gives them a major workout, and Frank realizes he is not as young as he used to be.

Then Rick (Kevin Bigley) asks Emily (Vella Lovell) on a date, and she says yes. But when he tells Victoria (Grace Palmer) plans, she runs and tells her boss. Will she say ghost him, or still go on the date?

All of this leads to a sweet ending with the two of the above winding up in bed together…

And did I mention the crab? It is these crazy scenarios that keep me tuning in and how funny it is.

Jonathan Wenk/CBS

Also, at 9p on CBS’s Ghosts, Jay (Utkarsh Ambudkar) accidentally wakes up Stephanie (Odessa A’zion) from her year-long nap. The first thing she does is ask for what she missed. That is when she finds out everyone is hooking up.

Since she is the only teenager at Woodstone Manor, there is no one for her to date. So she is bitter about it and decides she is going to break up all of the couples.

By the end of the episode, one of them will break up. Will it be Sam (Rose McIver) and Jay, Thor (Devan Chandler Long) and Flower (Sheila Carrasco), Heddy (Rebecca Wisocky) and Trevor (Asher Grodman), or Isaac (Brandon Scott Jones) and Nigel (John Hartman)?

I can’t tell you that, but I can tell you to watch the funniest show on television.
