Niecy Nash recently filled in for Nick Cannon on The Masked Singer. Fox liked what she did, so they are giving her her own show. She will be hosting a reboot of Don’t Forget the Lyrics next season.
How do you play the game? Each contestant will have to sing 10 songs. Sounds simple? Well, it starts out like Karaoke, and the lyrics will be displayed on the screen. Then they will suddenly stop, and the contestant will have to guess the proper lyrics of songs from all genres and decades. If they get every song correct, they go home with a million dollars. If not, then they will want to forget their time on the program.
The show originally ran on Fox from 2007-2009. and Wayne Brady was the host.
Before Niecy Nash starred in Ryan Murphy’s Scream Queens, she guest-starred on his show Popular. She looks the same now as she did when she was 30 in that 2000 episode.
Maybe if Nick Cannon wore a mask like the contestants on The Masked Singer, he would be hosting the show this upcoming season. However, he is going to be missing a few episodes because he tested positive for COVID-19.
The singing competition goes into production tomorrow, and they need a replacement. According to Variety, they asked Niecy Nash to do it. Of course, she said yes!
Do you know what? I hope they keep her. I think she is hilarious. She is enough to get me to tune in.
What do you think? Should the temporary replacement become permanent?
Niecy Nash got married for a third time, and hopefully this time it will be the charm. The Scream Queen broke the news on social media, and there was a lot to absorb in one photo.
Back in October, Nash announced that she was divorcing her second husband, Jay Tucker, and their divorce was finalized in March. Now, five months later she is married again. This time to Jessica Betts, and it is a big surprise. No one knew they were dating.
Nash is taking her wife’s name legally. She will still be Niecy professionally, but on her driver’s license she will go by Mrs. Carol Denise Betts.
Before everyone was stuck at home, Quibi announced that they are bringing back Reno911. Today, they released the first trailer for the revival that begins streaming daily on May 4th. It is like no time has passed since they left the force in 2009.
However, it has. Since then, Thomas Lennon, Wendi McLendon-Covey, Niecy Nash, Cedric Yarbrough, and so many more others from the sitcom have become big names of their own shows. Yet, when they are together, they are just the way they were, the most dysfunctional police force in the world. That is why we love them so much and are so happy they are back.
