Guys with Kids can be enjoyed by people with or without kids!
September 12th, 2012 under NBC. [ Comments: none ]

Guys with Kids debuts on NBC at 10p and you are going to want to play with this show. The show is about three dads trying to raise their young kids and it is not as easy as you and they think it. Jesse Bradford plays Chris a recently divorced father with an overbearing ex-wife who won’t let him do anything with his son. He doesn’t really know what he is doing, so he is asking his friends for help. Gary (Anthony Anderson) is a stay-at-home dad with like 4 kids and he is so exhausted from raising them that he doesn’t know what is he doing anymore. The Hang Time star is TV married to his TV teen crush Tempestt Bledsoe, who returns to NBC 20 years after The Cosby Show left it. Then there is Nick (Zach Cregger), who works while his wife played by Jamie-Lynn Sigler stays at home with his kids. Nick is struggling with what his wife wants because he isn’t quite sure and that keeps getting him in to problems.
Together these three friends are trying to survive fatherhood and life and somehow they are making it work. And we are getting a show that the whole family can enjoy! Especially the dads because they have been there and done that!

Zachary Levi’s greatest disguise to date
August 27th, 2012 under NBC, Zachary Levi. [ Comments: 1 ]

Zachary Levi has chucked his brown locks for blonde ones and I can barely recognize Chuck Bartowski. He did not explain why he changed his look when he posted the picture from backstage at a Green Day show, but I assume it is for a movie. At least I hope so because I am not fan of his lighter do. What do you think of him as a blonde?

The Office is still on the air?
August 21st, 2012 under NBC. [ Comments: 2 ]

BTW if you are like me and shocked to find out that The Office is still on the air, then you won’t be surprised to hear that this upcoming season will be its last one. Greg Daniels announced on a conference call today that “This year feels like the last chance to really go out together and make an artistic ending for the show that pays off a lot of the stuff that has mattered most to fans with the core characters” Then he added, “This will be the last season of ‘The Office’ and we are planning a very big exciting last season. We are going to have a lot of familiar faces coming back.” No word if one of those faces will be Steve Carrell, but I would be shocked if it didn’t. I mean who else besides me they should’ve ended the show with his departure?
BTW I hope that the show ends like the movie Office Space with a big fire, I mean it is a paper company afterall and it would be a fitting ending. How do you think the show should end?

Go On goes for gold tonight after the Olympics!
August 8th, 2012 under NBC. [ Comments: none ]

When I heard that Matthew Perry was coming back to TV, like so many people I was very happy about. So when I got the fall pilots, I made sure that Go On was going to be the first one that I watched. I knew I was going to love it, but it exceeded my expectations and then some. Tonight after the Olympics you can preview the pilot episode on NBC and you don’t want to miss this show that wins a Gold medal from me.
Matthew Perry plays Ryan King, a radio sportscaster who lost his wife recently and wants to return to work. His boss (John Cho) thinks he needs to get some group therapy before he returns to work. So now King joins a group therapy and he is going to change things up because he doesn’t think he belongs there. Only problem is Lauren (Laura Benanti) who runs the group doesn’t agree with a lot of the things he has been doing. Even though it is helping the group deal with the loss of their loved ones. The sweetest moment comes when King gets Owen (Tyler James Williams) to make a major breakthrough. This group’s way of dealing with death might not be traditional, but it works just like the show!
Perry has a new set of Friends and you are going to like them more than the old ones. Williams, Julie White as Anne, Suzy Nakamura as Yolanda and Brett Gelman as Mr.K fill out the rest of cast and their chemistry together will keep this experiment going on for a rrally long time.
Go On is not like all the other comedies on television and you know what that is a good thing. So Go On and watch this enjoyable show tonight that makes you laugh, but also make you cry a little too!

Anthony Anderson gets to kiss his childhood crush on Guys with Kids
July 24th, 2012 under Anthony Anderson, NBC. [ Comments: none ]

Today is the NBC’s press day and we got to hear the cast and producers talk about Guys with Kids. The NBC comedy was supposed to be called DILFs according to first time show runner Jimmy Fallon, but as much as the network liked the idea for the sitcom they were not allowed to call it that. Fallon described how the show came about, “Amy and I, who is my producing partner, we were just talking about all the guys that we were seeing around New York City and Time Square, like with the Baby Bjorns and the babies on the backs of their bikes, and I was saying, like, these are like young good looking guys. They’re just embracing the role of dad, and we both said at the same time “DILFs.” Having seen the pilot that debuts on Wednesday, September 26th at 8:30p, I can tell you that observation turns in to a very funny show.
One of the big reasons this show is so funny is because Anthony Anderson is a part of it. And a bonus for the Hang Time star to be part of this show is, “another reason that I took the job. And I get to kiss my childhood crush. She bites my bottom lip on occasion.” That crush is Tempestt Bledsoe from The Cosby Show, who plays his wife and she responded to that by saying, “He’s always accusing me of biting him.” He then took back what he said and changed it to, “Okay. It was a gentle suck.” And with that she was OK.
Here is an interesting part about the show, there were 14 babies involved with the pilot to play all the kids on the show. Co-show creator Amy Ozols said it was like a daycare center on the set. And on that note Zach Cregger who plays Nick says that Jesse Bradford didn’t know how to hold a baby before this show. To which the Hostel star answered back with “I’m trying to learn. I’m trying to learn. He’s going to be fine. We talked about this.” You will have to tune in on Wednesdays to see if he finally learned how to hold a baby. That and to watch a funny show that everyone in the family can enjoy.
