Does Craig T Nelson have photos on the NBC execs?
March 26th, 2015 under NBC. [ Comments: 1 ]

How else can we explain why, according to TV Line, NBC announced today that they are bringing back his lackluster sitcom Coach for a 13 episode run?
I get why Fox is bringing back The X-Files and Showtime has Twin Peaks, but Coach? Is that even on syndication anywhere? Has anyone ever said that they want to see more episodes of Coach?
I can think of at 1,000 other sitcoms I would rather see NBC bring back for an update before Coach. Especially since Nelson is one of the blandest stars on television and yet he’s barely is ever out of work. So I have to wonder what he has on people because there are so many many many many many other actors who are better than him and more enjoyable to watch.
Are you the one person who is excited that Coach will be back for 13 more episodes?

Make a date with Undateable because it ends with One Big Happy!
March 17th, 2015 under Bill Lawrence, NBC. [ Comments: none ]

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jQKo6qKLLGY
Undateable was the summer’s biggest surprise hit, and tonight at 9p the highlarious comedy is back on NBC for its second season.
The whole gang is back at the bar and this time there is a new member working with them. Candace (Bridgit Mendler) is the new ditzy, but loveable waitress at Black Eyes bar. This role is a lot different from the one she played on Good Luck Charlie and it suits her. For her fans, you will be happy to hear she does sing on it.
When it comes to other guys, Justin (Brent Morin) is still dealing with his breakup to Nicki. So much so, Danny (Chris D’Elia) convinces him to try a one-night stand. Let’s just say no matter how much coaching Danny gives his roommate, Justin still manages to mess it up in his own special way. And Danny just makes it worse in his special way.
Then there’s Brett (David Fynn), Burski (Rick Glassman), Shelly (Ron Funches) and Leslie (Bianca Kajlich) and they are there to support their friends in their own special way. A way that makes you laugh so hard, you will be crying. Oh, and when it comes to Leslie, I will tell you she is the butt of all jokes tonight.
So tune into Undateable tonight and every Tuesday at 9p for a sitcom that is totally dateable!

Then at 9:30p, One Big Happy premieres on NBC. Lizzy and Luke have been best friends forever, they live together and now they are having a kid together. Why aren’t they together together? They both like the same thing, women. Everything has been going great for them until he meets Prudence and it is love at first sight and marriage on the second date. Now the three of them are living together as husband, wife and baby mama. How will it work out for them? You will just have to watch.
The show’s creator, Liz Feldman, wrote my favorite episode of 2 Broke Girls, so I had a lot of hope for the show. Sadly, that hope quickly faded with every episode I saw of the show and I saw four. The jokes and the chemistry feel forced, and Cuthbert is just unlikable. I hope that the show will get better, but sadly, I don’t think it will.

NBC slaps Allegiance off their lineup
March 6th, 2015 under NBC. [ Comments: 2 ]

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e-NeOdR02fc
After just five episodes, NBC has pulled Allegiance from their Thursday night lineup. The spy drama will be replaced at 10p by the mini-series The Slap that previously aired at 8p. Blacklist remains at 9p.
Personally, I am surprised by their decision because Allegiance seemed to be doing better than The Slap. Plus, I am not sure how well The Slap will do in its new timeslot. It doesn’t seem like a 10p show to me, but you never know it can surprise us.
Poor NBC went from Must See TV on Thursday to Must Skip TV.

UPDATE: Allegiance’s star Scott Cohen Tweeted an update about the show’s future, “all @NBCAllegiance fans now and to come; sucky news, cancelled. ALL eps to air in summer! contact @NBC and say how upset you might be!!”

It’s hellish on Hell’s Kitchen and Chicago Fire tonight!
March 3rd, 2015 under Dick Wolf, Gordon Ramsay, NBC. [ Comments: none ]

Hell’s Kitchen is back on Fox tonight at 9p for its 14th season. You would think after all of these years that the contestants would know what Gordon Ramsay wants, but they don’t. One contestant actually served him spaghetti and marinara sauce, and the sauce came from a jar. The woman who prepared that meal for him is just one of the many characters we have to look forward to this season. There’s another person on the show this season who will ask him if they can use the bathroom as he is describing what they can expect from that night’s dinner service.
Those are just two of the examples of what is going to happen this season. According to the preview video we can expect a whole lot more. That’s why this show is beginning its 14th season and counting.

From one fire to another, Chicago Fire is back on NBC tonight at 10p and Chief Boden is not. That means that Chief Pridgen (Matthew Del Negro) is still in charge and no one likes him. Pridgen has found out that Casey (Jesse Spencer) is dating his ex-wife, and he is going after him even harder than he was before.
When they are called out to a fire, they are informed that a there is a little girl is trapped on the third floor by the building manager. As they are preparing to get her out, another woman comes running up to the chief and says her uncle fell and hurt his ankle. The chief orders Casey to go take care of that man a few blocks away and leave the scene of the fire. The remaining firefighters are able to rescue the little girl, but what they don’t know is that building manager went back inside to rescue her. When the fire becomes too powerful, he is thrown out of the third story window and is now in critical condition because of it.
Now there is an investigation into what happened and it is a he said/he said thing with the powers to be who are siding with the chief. Will Engine 51 be able to convince them that the chief is at fault or will someone else take the fall for his mess up? You don’t want to miss this tense and exciting episode to see what happens.

The Night Shift is back on duty tonight!
February 23rd, 2015 under NBC. [ Comments: none ]

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kTieLuJ80qY
The Night Shift was too hot for summer, so NBC moved it to the winter. Tonight at 10p the medical drama starts to heats things up.
The episode starts off a few months after the season finale. Topher (Ken Leung) has recovered from being shot and is back at work. TC (Eoin Macken) is still on suspension, but you can’t keep him down. Jordan (Jill Flint) is still trying to get everyone’s respect after the shooting, which is easier said then done. Besides that, TC and her are giving their relationship another shot. That is causing a lot of tension between her and Dr. Scott Clemmens (Scott Wolf), he is not taking their breakup very well. Finally, Ragosa (Freddy Rodriguez) is back from the surgery he got to remove the cancerous tumor in his brain and he is not the same man he used to be.
Besides all of that, there are still a lot of sick and injured people coming into the ER. They have to put all of that aside to help all of those patients.
Can they handle all of that stress? By the end of the episode someone is going to quit. Think you know who? You don’t, so you are going to have to find out.
