NBC’s fall schedule is…. |

NBC announced their fall schedule and at first glance I don’t know what to think of it. I was hoping they would’ve made more changes, but maybe it’s a good thing they didn’t. They need to improve things and maybe by keeping things the same, it will help.
The biggest mistake is scheduling Neil Patrick Harris’ show at 10p. Didn’t they learn from Jay Leno, people don’t want that at 10p. That is why it’s drama heavy. I also think it’s a mistake to put the Undateable live episodes on Fridays. NBC is doing the most risky thing on television next season and they are just shoving it off on the death night. You should’ve put it on at 8p on Tuesday followed by The Voice and then maybe NPH’s dud would thrive. Sorry the Oscars and overexposure ruined NPH. People are tired of him. But who knows.
When it comes to the rest! As you know I am saying Yatta to Heroes Reborn, which will kill off Grey’s Anatomy, if ABC brings it back at its regularly scheduled time.
What do you think of the fall schedule?

Will you go all Constantine when you read which shows got cancelled? |
| May 8th, 2015 under CBS, Fox, NBC. [ Comments: none ]

On Monday we find out what the networks have planned for next season and today we found out some more shows that won’t be included on their schedules.
NBC pulled the plug on Constantine, About a Boy, Marry Me, State of Affairs and One Big Happy. I knew that NBC wasn’t going to move forward with Constantine, I was just hoping it would’ve had a new home by now. Some are saying The CW, but I am hoping for Syfy instead.
Over at Fox since Following lost its following and Backstrom never had one, they won’t be following Empire to the 2015-2016 season. Too bad they can’t cancel Wayward Pines today too.
Finally, CBS ended the ratings battle for Battle Creek, The McCarthys and Stalker.
Which show are you most upset to lose?

The making of a Chicago Fire burn victim |

If you watched Chicago Fire, the first part of the three episode crossover with Law & Order: SVU and Chicago PD, then you were probably impressed with the burn victim that was featured on the show. If you thought that was impressive, seeing how makeup and hair made her look that way, will leave you absolutely dumbfounded. There are so many elements that go in to creating that look, it’s truly incredible to see it all come to life like that.
Just like the three episodes where Chicago Fire, Law & Order: SVU and Chicago PD try to find her rapist. Tonight at 8p, NBC repeats last night’s Chicago Fire Episode. Then at 9p, Law & Order: SVU takes over the case and Chicago PD finishes it at 10p. Officers from both shows talk to the woman that was raped and severely burned. She gives them some leads who did this to her and now they are off to find him. Since their search is narrowed by where he’s been 10 years ago and today, one of the Chicago Med doctors becomes a suspect. Is he the only one?
Eventually that question will be answered, and someone from Chicago PD will be kidnapped and taken to NYC by the main suspect. Will they get to her in time? You don’t want to miss the conclusion of the three part crossover starting at 8p tonight on NBC to find out.

Dick Wolf’s shows epic crossover begins as The Runner-Up ends! |

Tonight at 10p on NBC, Chicago Fire starts off the three episode, two night crossover of Dick Wolf’s show on NBC.
The fire department gets sent to a massive building fire and inside they find a woman who has been badly burned in it. When she gets to the hospital, the doctors find out that she was raped and beaten before she was burned. Severide (Taylor Kinney) and Dawson (Monica Raymund) go back into the building and find out the fire was purposely set to hide what really happened.
When Law & Order: SVU‘s Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay) reads about what happened, she calls Chicago PD because it sounds like an unsolved case she worked on a decade ago. She flies to Chicago to help with investigation of the rape.
There aren’t too many people that fit the description and also lived in NYC during her case and Chicago now. Eventually they narrow their search down to one man and he kidnaps someone who is one of the three shows and takes her NYC.
Now the NY and Chicago police officers need to find him before he kills again. Will they be able to find the needle in the haystack before it’s too late? You will have to tune in for this suspenseful three episode crossover tonight at 10p and tomorrow at 9p on NBC to find out.
Even though it is a crossover, each show feels to be done by its own people. Chicago Fire, Chicago PD and Law & Order: SVU each have their own style and that comes through So fans of each show will still be able to enjoy each episode like they do every week.

Also at 10p tonight but on Esquire, it’s time for the series final of The Runner-Up. It’s almost Election Day and Clay Aiken is going to find out if he will be a US Congressman.
Clay decides to an ad to get people to vote for him. Even though he didn’t want to go negative he decides to listen to his people and do just that. After it runs, they get a call from FactCheck.org that says some of the things in the ad might be accurate. Will that get him in trouble?
Finally, when that is all dealt with, it is finally Election Day. Clay decides to visit the polls personally, but something happens that put that all in jeopardy.
Now it’s time for the results. Things are looking good for him at the beginning of the night, but will it continue?
You just have to tune in for this educational and enjoyable docuseries’ finale to find out. I am sincerely sad this show is ending.

Juan Pablo Di Pace’s mom witnessed his crucifixion in AD: The Bible Continues |

Juan Pablo Di Pace is playing the role of a lifetime because he is playing Jesus Christ in AD: The Bible Continues on NBC starting tonight at 9p. Even though this is the role he always wanted on his acting resume, he found it to be a huge responsibility, daunting and he’s humbled to be playing it.
Juan Pablo Di Pace grew up in religious household, so this was a dream role for him and his mother. In fact it might’ve been a role he was born to play. He explained at the NBC TCA Winter Press Day, “My mother is a religious painter. She has a painting in the Vatican. So I grew up with all of that. My name, actually, Juan Pablo, comes from John Paul II. So, you know, it was going to happen at some point.”
Then he talked more about his mom, and her paintings. He said, “She’s been painting Jesus and the saints and angels her whole life. Marta Maineri she’s called, my mother. And, yes, thanks to her teaching me about Michelangelo, about Caravagio about The Passion and all the scenes in the Bible, I was very familiar with a lot of moments in AD as well.” Then he added, “I remember when I was 12, she took me to the Sistine Chapel, and we saw The Pieta. I remember thinking, ‘Wow, this is the most beautiful piece of art.’ He concluded with, “Fast forward many years later, and there I am full of blood. Greta Scacchi is holding me in her arms, and I’m thinking this is just like a dream, it’s magic, it’s beautiful.”
Since his mother was such a big part of his religious upbringing, Executive Producer Roma Downey said that they flew her in to see her son’s crucifixion as they filmed it for the 12 part series, so that she could be there as emotional support for her son. How was she effected by seeing her son go through that? He said she is working on new paintings because, “She was actually taking inspiration from set.”
To see what inspired her new paintings and more importantly to see his brilliant performance as Jesus, tune in AD: The Bible Continues tonight and every Sunday at 9p on NBC.
