Before Meghan Trainor was All About That Bass, she was all about the soldiers when she performed her song Take Care of Our Troops on Capecast. Even when she was just 16 years old back in 2010, you could tell she was going to be a star. Thus, it should be no surprise that she won Best New Artist at the Grammys tonight.
I don’t know about you, but I always wished there was a song about New Year’s Resolutions, and for some reason there has never been one. That has all changed. Yesterday on The Late Late Show, James Corden reworked Meghan Trainor’s huge hit All About the Bass with the singer to All About the Change, and New Year’s Resolutions finally has an anthem. Everyone knows the all the lyrics to Alanis Morissette’s Ironic, even chickens. Yesterday, on The Tonight Show, Jimmy Fallon proved that point when he, along with Alanis Morissette and Meghan Trainor, dressed up as chickens and clucked out the iconic song Ironic. From now on, that is how I am going to belt out the song. I just hope I don’t lay an egg.

Meghan Trainor’s song All About That Bass has been remade as All About That Baste by a family to make it appropriate for Thanksgiving. Well, I guess it struck a chord with her because she just released an album full of Thanksgiving Carols! That’s right, you can hear songs like My Flight Got Cancelled in Denver and I’m Not Bringing Leftovers on the Plane, Mom. These are great songs to sing while you are stuck in the airport waiting for your delayed flight or while you sit in traffic to get to your Aunt’s house that you really hate to eat her drier than dry turkey. What more can you ask for on Thanksgiving? Nothing! Now you really have something to be thankful for this Turkey Day!
