Once again Meryl Streep gets lost into the woods in an Ellen Selfie!
December 23rd, 2014 under Ellen DeGeneres, Mamma Mia, Meryl Streep. [ Comments: none ]

Remember when Ellen DeGeneres took the greatest Selfie of all time at the Oscars and she cut off part of Meryl Streep’s face? Well, she decided to make it up to the Oscar winner on her show and took another Selfie with her, but this time she included her castmates from Into the Woods. How did it go for the beloved actress? Even worse than it did the first time. Poor, Meryl. Whoever thought anyone could shadow her greatness? I guess you can say that only the hostess with the mostest can achieve that. Once again, I have to say, poor Meryl.

A Death Becomes Her reunion!!!
April 13th, 2011 under Goldie Hawn, Mamma Mia. [ Comments: none ]

Goldie Hawn and Meryl Streep were reunited at the Good Housekeeping’s Annual Shine On Awards Honor Remarkable Women and even though they were enemies in Death Becomes Her they look like the best of friends now! Can you believe that movie came out 18 years ago because the 65 year old Goldie and 61 year old Meryl look as beautiful now as they looked when they made that film. Maybe the Oscar winners have been taking that potion???
BTW in case you forgot how much fun that movie is, here is the trailer to remind you!!!

January 22nd, 2010 under Before They Were Famous, Mamma Mia. [ Comments: none ]

(starts at 2:30in

Before Christina Baranski was best friends with Cybill, she was friends with Flipper. Even back in 1967 the 14 year old has the same facial expressions she uses today.
BTW am I the only one who didn’t know she was a child actress before this?

Meryl Streep lost out on King Kong for being too ugly?

Meryl Streep did not get the lead role in the 1976 version of King Kong because the director said she was too ugly according to IOL. The Italian director Dino de Laurentis not only made the mistake of not hiring the future multi-award winner, but for thinking she wasn't as smart as she looks.
Streep says, "He said to his son, who organised the meeting, "She's ugly. Why did you bring me this thing.'

"He didn't realise I'd just graduated and studied Italian 105."

"When I replied in Italian, he looked like he had been shot."

I think Meryl did OK for herself and losing out on the role didn't effect her career.
Just in case you forgot or wondering who got the role, that was Jessica Lange.
