Since so many of us are getting the vaccine, Lifetime is giving us a Christmas present early. Today they announced that they have a Christmas movie coming out this year with several cast members from a show we grew up on, along with some other sitcom legends.
Blending Christmas stars Barry Williams (Greg), Christopher Knight (Peter), Mike Lookinland (Bobby), Susan Olsen (Cindy), and Robbie Rist (Cousin Oliver). Yes, for all of us who wondered what happened to Cousin Oliver, we will find out in a few months! That is enough reason to tune in.
If the Bradys are not enough for you, then Greg Evigan, one of My Two Dads, is on it, along with Beth Broderick, who is one of Sabrina the Teenage Witch’s aunts. They will be joined by Telma Hopkins, who was bosom buddies with the Bosom Buddies and Nell on Gimme A Break.
For Gen Xers, this is like getting a White Christmas on December 25th in Los Angeles or Miami.
What is the telemovie about? “The holiday season is in full swing when Emma (Haylie Duff) learns that the resort where she used to spend Christmases with her family is being redeveloped. Her boyfriend Liam (Aaron O’Connell), hatches a plan to bring her to the resort one last time to propose! He secretly invites both their families to join them and Emma is delighted when she arrives to find the whole family bunch there. Of course, no holiday gathering is complete without drama, and soon the families are bickering over every detail! The added stress from trying to blend the two families eventually takes a toll on Emma and Liam, who start questioning their own relationship. Now just days before Christmas, the two families realize that they’re going to have to work together in order to reunite Emma and Liam!”
So this what it means when we sing Joy to World during the Holiday Season because I am feeling it now!

Reba McEntire and Lifetime have teamed up for a two-movie deal. The first movie will be coming this holiday season.
Christmas In Tune tells the story of Belle, a marketing executive who is worried she may lose her job. She decides to reunite a singing duo for a charity Christmas concert in order, but the problem is – the singers are actually her parents and they have not spoken to each other in years! Soon the at-odds couple is helping Belle get her life in order and she begins her own romantic duet with the new man in her life. McEntire will sing and star in this film.
Then sometime in 2022, she will be back with another movie that is not related to Christmas.
Lifetime is a good home for Reba because her old sitcom used to air on their network. Therefore, viewers are used to her fiery personality that matches her hair color.

Yesterday, Lifetime and KFC announced that they made a 15-minute film together with Mario Lopez as Colonel Sanders. Today, they released the trailer for the minimovie, and it is even better than we could have imagined.
There is more cheese in that promo than is in their mac and cheese. Because of that, I cannot wait to see it on December 13th at 12n. I bet it will be an instant classic like KFC’s fried chicken has been since 1930.
While we might never find out what the 11 herbs and spices are, at least we will find out what happened in Colonel Sanders’ love life on Sunday.

Kentucky Fried Chicken and Lifetime teamed up to make a 15-minute movie starring Mario Lopez as Colonel Sanders. A Recipe for Seduction will debut on December 13th at 12n.
“A Recipe for Seduction is a perfect excuse to curl up at home and escape to your own happily ever after,” Andrea Zahumensky, KFC U.S. chief marketing officer, said in a statement.
Do you know what will go great with this? Grab your lover, pick up a KFC basket of fried chicken, light up the fireplace with a KFC firelog, and watch the short and eat by the fire.

Lifetime announced five more original movies for this Christmas bringing their total to 30. Of those five movies, one will feature a same-sex couple, and another is about an Asian-American family.
In The Christmas Set-Up, Hugo is reunited with his high school crush, Patrick, who is also interested in him. They won’t need the help of mistletoe to kiss. Patrick’s mom is helping that happen.
That is just one of the movies that we will get to see. A Sugar & Spice Holiday is the story about Suzie returning home to spend the holidays with her Chinese family. While she is there, she starts cooking things up with an old high school friend.
Melissa Joan Hart, Jason Preistley, and Robin Givens star in Dear Christmas. Tiffany Haddish is producing Christmas Unwrapped that stars Amber Stevens West.
All of the above, are sharing the holidays with Betty White. Her movie was previously announced.
