Dance Moms will tackle Abby Lee Miller’s legal issues!
December 11th, 2015 under Dance Moms, Lifetime. [ Comments: none ]

Just days after Dance Moms started filming season 6, news broke that Abby Lee Miller was indicted on alleged fraud charges. Some of us wondered if they would include her legal woes in the show. Today, Lifetime released the first look at he upcoming season and the answer is yes. How much and how far, we don’t know. We will just have to tune in starting January 5th.
Looks like legal problem isn’t her only problem. It seems like all of the moms, yes all of them, are getting sick and tired of her antics.
To make matters even worse, according to Deadline, Miller sent out a newsletter saying that she might be missing from a few episode. She claims that she got in a fight with a producer who wanted her to a teen pregnancy dance routine with a fake baby bump. She said, “When a grown man tells me he wants one of my kids to portray a pregnant teen and wear a baby bump — I have to put my foot down…If that means not moving my foot and not working and getting fined in the process, well that’s a risk I am willing to take to protect my girls.” Then she added, “I am always teaching principles, integrity, and values in addition to dance technique. It is important for me that the girls learn to stand up and fight for what they believe in!”
I guess I am watching a different show than the one than the one she is watching.
I wonder how much longer Lifetime is going to put up with her. If I were them, I would pull the plug. Although, if the feds get their way, the network might not have a choice.

Abby Lee Miller indicted on bankruptcy fraud
October 14th, 2015 under Dance Moms, Lifetime. [ Comments: 4 ]

United States Attorney David J. Hickton announced today that Abby Lee Miller was indicted on 20 counts of allegedly “Defrauding Bankruptcy Court by Hiding Assets and Lying about Income.”
In December 2010, she filed a Petition to Reorganize her dance studio. Around that time, is when she began working on Dance Moms. The statement then claims that she created bank accounts and hid some of the money she made from the Lifetime shows and classes from the courts.
The statement went on to say, “Miller concealed income totaling approximately $755,492.85 from the Trustee and creditors, and gained favorable terms to restructure debt from her fraudulent acts.”
If convicted, she could face up to 5 years in prison and/or a $250,000 fine.
No word when she will face the judge in court or what Lifetime will do with Dance Moms. The show began taping its 6th season last week.

Abby Lee Miller is not happy with the Dance Moms casting
October 8th, 2015 under Dance Moms, Lifetime. [ Comments: none ]

During the Dance Moms’ season finale, Abby Lee Miller hinted that she was going to disband the Junior Elite Team aka the dancers we know and love; and now it looks like she was serious about that. Today, she posted a message on Instagram declaring, “They are casting dancers I didn’t select or deem appropriate for the new team.” So now she is looking for the best 7 and 8 year old dancers in the country.
If you want your child to be yelled at on national television doing something they once loved, then send Miller an email to info@abbyleedancecompany.com with pictures and video. Good luck.
When it comes to the show, if the girls and their moms aren’t back, then neither am I. I am not tuning in for Miller, I am tuning for them. Are you done with the show too if the girls and their moms are not the focus of the show?

Abby Lee Miller is back filming Dance Moms
October 7th, 2015 under Dance Moms, Lifetime. [ Comments: none ]

Remember when Abby Lee Miller announced that she was leaving Dance Moms to do something bigger and better during the 5th season’s final episode? Well here’s a shocker, she lied. OK, it isn’t a shocker but she did lie. That’s because tonight she Tweeted, “Started filming season 6 today of #DanceMoms! Get excited!!!”
I was kind of looking forward to Dance Moms without her. Between the show getting more scripted and her overacting, I was ready for something smaller and better. Oh well, as much as I say I won’t watch, I will.
Now, when it comes to which moms will be returning, that she didn’t say. But I think we can all agree, to her the show is only about Maddie and her and the rest of them are just background noise who don’t need to be there and are replaceable.

The Unauthorized Beverly Hills, 90210 Story is OMGood!
October 3rd, 2015 under Beverly Hills 90210 / Melrose Place, Lifetime, Shannen Doherty. [ Comments: none ]

Let’s be real, Lifetime’s Unauthorized Stories for the most part are really bad. Strangely enough, they finally got one right. The Unauthorized Beverly Hills, 90210 Story is pretty entertaining, so you should check it out at 8p tonight.
The telemovie starts out with the network pitching the show to Aaron Spelling (Dan Castellaneta) and him saying no. That is until his daughter Tori (Abby Ross) convinces him to do it. Now it is time to cast to lead roles, and Tori again helps him with that when she suggests he hires Shannen Doherty (Samantha Munro) and Jason Priestley (Max Lloyd-Jones ). Tori auditions for Kelly, but the network wants Jennie Garth (Abbie Cobb), so she gets Donna. Somehow Ian Ziering (David Lennon), Gabrielle Carteris (Michele Goyns) and Brian Austin Green (Ross Linton) are also cast on the show.
Now it is time to the shoot the pilot and they share the studio with porn stars. Did you know that? After the pilot is shot and they watch it, they think the show will never get picked up. As we know it did, but initially it bombed.
Darren Star (Adam Korson) and Aaron think the show is missing something and that something is Luke Perry (Jesy McKinney). But even he couldn’t save the show from poor ratings. That is until something happens that helps it become the hit that became. What, you will have to tune in to find out.
After the show is a hit, it is the I hate Shannen show. The movie ends with her firing and Tiffani-Amber Thiessen’s (Alyssa Lynch) hiring. Lynch also played her in Lifetime’s Saved By the Bell movie.
Even though the telemovie only covers the first four seasons, it is just enough. I don’t know how to explain how they got it right, but when you see it, you will see how they did.
I mean, the only actors who look like the people they are playing are Munro and Cobb, but you quickly forget that because the story is interesting enough to keep you entertained.
